How do I get a breed I really want added to the game?
If the breed has never been on HP before, we require that at least 5 people (including yourself) are willing to actively train/show/breed the breed before we add it. We have a Get A Breed Added forum dedicated specifically to getting new breeds added to the game! Currently we are only accepting real breeds which are recognized by real-life breed organizations (such as the AKC or AQHA).

If the breed used to be on HP, but was removed at some point, please contact an admin to have it re-added!
I've been breeding my breed since the game opened, and I'm the only breeder. Will it be removed?
Nope! Breeds will not be removed once they have been added.
How do I become a moderator?

All moderators must be at least 18 years of age, and agree to sign a non-disclosure agreement before accepting their badge. To be considered, you must be upgraded, be actively playing HP, and be in good standing with the mods (no recent warnings or punishments, and no serious infractions on record).

You may request an application to be kept on file anytime for the next time we are looking, but many times we will post applications in the news for interested players to fill out and send in.
The game won't let me buy tickets even though it's been a month! What gives?
This issue comes around every year in March. Tickets are on a 30 day cycle instead of a 1 month cycle, so in a shortened month (like February) your tickets will come a little later than usual! If you still cannot buy tickets after 30 days, please contact an admin!
Help! My dividers aren't showing up on my page.
Check your profile page to make sure they you have set "Use Dividers" to "yes". If that doesn't work, please message a staff member for help!
I upgraded my account, but I don't have my upgrade. When will I get it?
Sometimes there is a lag between PayPal and HP, but it will show up once the payment processes. Upgrades are insant in most cases, but can sometimes take up to an hour. If your upgrade still has not arrived, check to see if you have paid with an echeck. If you HAVE paid with an echeck, that's okay, but you will have to wait for it to clear and then message account #1 with your transaction ID in order to be upgraded. If you HAVE NOT paid with an echeck, please check the news for any known bugs (and instructions), just in case, and if there are none message account #1 ASAP with your Transaction ID.
I have an account, but I don't know the login and/or password. What should I do?
This is a tough situation sometimes. The first thing you should do is use our lost password feature (there's a link on the front page to it). Make sure you check your spam folders for the email if you don't seem to have gotten it. If you don't get the email you should message account #1.

There are a few things we can do. If you have access to the email associated with the account, we can just manually email it to you on that email (sometimes the automatic ones don't come through on their own). If you don't have access to it, then you must prove you own the account. If you have a transaction ID from an upgrade within the last two years, or can tell me the login name and secret answer, I can reset the email for you!

To prevent this from happening, the best thing you can do is keep your email address on HP up-to-date so that we can email you lost logins, and write down all of your login/password information someplace safe. You can change your email address by going to the Edit Profile page.
Why did I get a warning when I wasn't the only one breaking the rules?
Two wrongs don't make a right.

Remember, your warnings aren't public and neither are anybody else's. We do our best to warn/appropriately punish everyone who breaks our rules, but it's not a matter of public record - so just because you can't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen!
Why do all of my warnings always come from Samantha on account 1? Where are the other mods?
All warnings are issued through a central mod panel, and are sent from Samantha's account (#1) regardless of the mod who sent the warning. This is so that the mods can have some anonymity when warning players and aren't later singled out for enforcing the rules. The warnings are sent from account #1 instead of our automatic account #666 so that you are able to easily reply if you wish to dispute the warning with an admin.
I've noticed that there aren't many low number accounts on HP. Is it possible to buy a lower numbered account?
Yes, you can buy a lower numbered account (with the exception of #1, #2, and #3, and any other accounts that are already taken) for USD. Prices vary by account number, so message Sam at account #1 if you're interested! You can pay extra to have your current account number changed to the new number, or just get a new account with the new number.
I only see a few mods in chat, and admins even less so! Aren't they supposed to be ACTIVE?
If you get online only during a certain time of they day, you will only see the staff members who are also on during that time of the day. Partially due to time differences and schedules. Mods, and especially admins, also do a lot of behind the scenes stuff, so they may be online but not currently posting in chat (you never know when they are watching though!) at the time. If you need a mod, your best bet is to post asking for one, or just message them :). You can see who is currently online via HP's Online Players list.
Why can't I just use any old image for my pictures? What is all this stuff about crediting and stock?
Many people don't realize that just because something is posted on the internet doesn't make it public domain. Pictures, paintings, and images online all have an owner (be it the stock provider or the photographer/artist), and taking these things without permission is a huge copyright violation - and illegal. So in order to protect you, and HP, as well as create a friendly community for artists, we require that people follow those laws and our rules to cover all possible bases.

You can see a guide on how to find stock, what it is, and how to credit your images in the Other Helpful Info section of the Help section, or in the HP Rules. Even if an image says you do not have to credit it, or you took the image yourself, HP still requires credits so we can verify that the image is allowed to be used.

Following these rules lets us continue to allow players to create their own art rather than having preset images!
Why are one month upgrades so expensive compared to the other types of upgrades?
6 month or 1 year upgrades will always give you more bang for your buck! We offer 1 month upgrades for player's convenience, but HP costs real money to keep alive, and we can't survive on microtransactions! Priced per-month, 6 month or 1 year upgrades are a cheaper option.
