Let me know what you find out! My doggies have had some accidents in my apartment, and I'm worried about not getting my deposit back.

We use Oxiclean or Shout when our dogs have an accident.

My mom always insisted on using vinegar diluted with water (I think 2 parts vinegar to 1 part water). She said it would take away the smell and also (since it removes the smell) helps the dog not pee in that spot anymore. Although, if the dog isn't trained or incompetent from old age, he/she will probably keep peeing inside.

Another little tip, make sure that you use a hard bristle brush and scrub forward/back, then side-to-side (and again) so that you get the solution deep into the carpet and get the stain out also.

Baking soda! Sprinkle it on, let it sit for a few hours, then vacuum it up.
