My husband took a week off work for my birthday so we are doing half in Dublin and the other half in Barcelona. What do we have to see in dunlin to call it a success?

If you've never been, you should see:
kilmainham gaol (pronounced jail :p) - I really liked the tour. It gives you good background info on the Easter 1916 uprising and the history of Irish Independence
St. Stephen's Green, which is a big park with a lot of cool statues and fountains in it.
Which is right next to Grafton Street which has really good shopping, food, and is just generally cool to do.
St. Patricks cathedral of course! :p
Temple Bar - area of town with good pubs and shopping and just generally a good place to find irish music. A lot of the places will have cover charges for music, some won't. I never paid a cover charge, and the music was always good if you wanted to hear music. (Idk where you're from so sorry if this sound like total dumb american speak, but pub doesn't mean like bar in the same sense as it does here - they are usually places with restaurants upstairs and then a drinking area below for music. so it isn't just a dark room with some dude on the guitar, they are really fun haha)
I did Irish Lit when I was at UCSB, mainly I studied James Joyce so I'm a total nerd, but the writer's museum is so good!! haha.
Trinity College Dublin is a really cool place to visit. Oldest universty in Ireland. :D

Sorry, I got excited, haha. I went to Dublin twice when I was studying abroad in England and once for my college graduation present and I love it.:D

HAVE THE BEST TIME!

FYI, Carrick-a-Rede is in Northern Ireland, not Ireland.
162.558 miles away.
;)
