They're one of the least studied breeds of hyena, pretty rare. Smaller than the common spotted hyena, with a huge mane on their back that they use to spook potential threats and appear larger. They're a naturally silent species of hyena, as opposed to the spotted or brown hyena, and use their body language to communicate the most. They have a matriarchal pack society, when they do gather in small packs, with one female and multiple males. More info from the San Diego Zoo website.

We already have hyenas, so I suppose they could be added as a crossbreed? But they are technically their own species so idk. Maybe cash shop? They're gorgeous pups, and I'd love to be able to breed them on HP.

You decide to explore the path leading behind the waterfall. The stone is slick beneath your feet from the mist but with careful steps, you make your way into a beautiful grotto. The lake laps at the edges of the path that follows the cave wall back into the mountainside. Torches are mounted at the far end of the grotto, and the flickering light ensures you do not take a misstep into the chilly water. Between the torches is a roughly carved arch. Stepping through, you find yourself in a large cavern.

Strange cages line one side of the cavern, large with unusually shaped bars. Across from the cages is a wooden door, carved with sigils.
