I don't look at that TBH. If I did and actually added up the amount of money it costs me to point animals (all my money comes through upgrades because I have no time for anything else), then I'd most likely quit the game LOL.

if only there was a screaming emoji on here... haha! yeah after my current project I severely need to roll back. it's not sustainable as much as I love the game and having pretty pointed animals  my advice would be that if you are thinking of doing upgrades, is to invest in your own bulk uppies, and sell private show spots and tickets? i think that's far more sustainable but the income isn't as instant and it does come with the huge overhead of making and accepting privates each week, which is why I don't do it myself

I think most people that do project plan way in advance, like years. Building up their own supply of upgrade accounts and stockpiling money. 

i try not to think about what i spend XD haha

that's definitely the smarter way to do it. i'm personally just too time poor myself to handle the maintenence

I've never really done a big project. I plan to eventually (I hope) but I have 3 horse breeds and 1 dog breed that I put one pair in my private shows and they are like my little projects that make me feel like I have high pointed animals hahaha. But someday I'll do a ticket project if I ever get enough saved up. Most of my money goes to the players who help me with accounts and training, and keeping accounts upgraded and reupgrading accounts. If I get enough saved after keeping up with all that... maybe lol

Ive spent a ton of real money on this game to have my pretty lines *hugs fake ponies*.

But now im leaving to save money for my real horsies...

All i can say is SAVE SAVE SAVE!!! lol

Although right now im sure players would pay 300mill again for upgrades since there are limited sellers...

So if thats the case youd only need to do 77 upgrades for a total of $1100 real monies for your 23bill goal!

I do what trig said. -shrugs- It pays off to have a rough estimate of what you're going to be spending and it gives you a goal to work towards. ^^

I've stopped trying to work it out, it just depresses me and makes me not want to bother lol. I've decided that i'll just start one when I feel ready, do what I can to make money to support it while it's happening, and hope for the best LOL.

Fascinating to hear how everyone does it though! I've been trying to amass my own fleet of upgrades, but you know, real life priorotiries take precedence. Those upgrade auction prices sure are tempting though...

(Look at this healthy HP economy! Supply goes down, price goes up. Price goes up, supply may come back, too!)

Im slowly building up a bunch of upgrades. I allow myself one per week, or one every 2 weeks so that I am not spending a ton of money all at one. They start to add up after a while. I think im at like 16 now...which isn't a ton but hey. Its almost 20!

ive managed to have a about 10 horses per gen hit 2 mill with 20 privates 17 being my own. I would like to eventually get up to 20 upgrades but havent been really bothered to take the rl plunge and buy the last 3. i generally just maintain the 17 with hp money :)

I didn't budget my project because it was spur of the moment kind of thing haha.. but I will say so far on Ziggie, I've spent roughly 10bil HPD and sold 12 six month upgrades. Also add in the 4 six months from today and the 6 one months. so.. 16 six months and 6 one months.
