Getting a bit of a late start on this, but we will start doing our monthly breed spotlights of rare breeds again! Every month on the 15th, we will release the new one with a giveaway! Giveaway will be drawn on the 15th of the next month before the next spotlight is posted.

Each month we will pick a new rare-on-HP breed and give away a pointed pair of them in order to boost the number of breeders of that animal! We will rotate between horse breeds and dog breeds every other month!

This month's breed is: Zorses!

About Zorses

Zorses are a cross between a Zebra and a Horse of any breed. There are several types of Zebra crosses, which are collectively known as Zebroids. They are generally from a zebra stallion and an equine dam. They have been bred since the 19th century. Similar to many other types of hybrid animals, such as mules, Zorses in real life are sterile. Appearance-wise they have the build and mane/tail of a horse and the coloring of a horse infused with zebra stripes.

 Honestly I just friggin love mules? I'd love to have one someday to ride into some tough terrain with. For now, I have this dorky daggum thoroughbred who sometimes thinks he's still a racehorse. (He hasn't even been on the track since 2010 >:V)

 I agree with redwood. Mules are awesome. Used to ride a Missouri mule by the name of (of all things) Jack. He was so smart and generous much more so than any horse I've met.

My mom has 2 mules...one has a great personality but has rough gaits(mainly the trot) and the other has a terrible personality but has smooth gaits!

Shes selling one though!

I like how this got derailed from Zorses to Mules haha! Maybe that could be the February breed?

Oh were the hybrids suppose to be zebra related? xD Paint x Zebra crosses would probably have to be my thing honestly. But I feel like mule should be an acceptable answer.

 Any hybrid breed is an acceptable answer!

I'd love to meet a Paint x Zebra as well. Or a Zonkey.

 Totally a Zeedonk...I used to work with one named Jimmy-Jo, theyre awesome animals... although Jimmy-Jo could be quite rude. 

Mules! I have a soft spot for those ears. Plus they can jump from a stand still! They're incredibly versatile and adorable, just can be super sassy!♡
