so as some of you may know i have been hunting a small dog to add to our familiy for a while now. i was stressful and at some points just plain heartbreaking but at last we have found our perfect puppy, Bindi.

she is a jack russel x boarder collie but she is so placid and affetionate she doenst have the boundless energy of either breed.

she is curently 6 months old and 3 kg -6 pounds- and she not likely to get much bigger which is great.

she so loveable she will def have a forever loving home wth us more pics and stories about how she's settling and her training -mostly just house training and walking on a leash- so follow to love bindi with me!

2/27- Ok so first update sorry no new pics yet my house is like i suddenly have two kids lol but at least one will be quiet and just cuddle me when the other is in school lol. Ok so Bindi has now started to feel more at home, she goes over to my mums a bit and my mum has fallen so in love with her that she lets Bindi get away with a lot of things she wouldn't with my childhood dog lol. I see the jack russel in her love of climbing on the sofa back -probably picked it up from my son- and the growling/barking at passers by but with a quick no she stops. I see the border collie in her quick uptake of commands, before she came home with us she lived on a big yard and so never had worn a coller or a leash so being presented by both made her bollock and put on the breaks. Today we did our first walking session on the leash in the secure alley way behind my house. with a bag of treats in hand and a reward for every lap she made by the end she was walking with a little encouragement sensibly by my side ignoring the antics of my child who was mucking around. She has a good understanding of sit,go to bed, stay and up -she sits on her haunches sorta like a beg so i can pick her up easier- she does have a bit of a nipping problem but thats just the puppy in her and nothing serious getting my kid however to tell her off is another matter he thinks its hilarious so as such i cant leave the two alone and seperate them when i have to go into the kitchen to make meals. we have had a few toileting accidents but they were more my fault than hers and she is picking up that if she comes to lick my hand ill take her outside for the toilet. Next week im taking her to the vet to be desexed and have her last vaccine but before that she cant leave my yard for walks and such except for the secure alley. I promise to have more pics at next update :)

3/2 - More Pics!!! and a shiny new tag and coller -the other one she could lossen and get out of so lether it is-

3/6 - Today we had bindi spayed next week when she has her stitches out we will give her the last vaccine and then she can go on walks. Also i shall be registering her with my council and housing tom.

3/18 - not much happened while we waited for Bindi's stitches to come out lots of rest for the puppy, but today we took her for her very first beach visit -she was born in the country so never been to the beach- and despite not being much of a water dog and needing some socialisation lessons with other dogs she loved every min of it, the bath when we got home not so much lol. The child on the other hand well... i decided that beach visits should be done with just be and the dog for a while due to the fact my son -on purpose- tried to go in a rip more than once. On another note Bindi can now on hand signs alone sit, lay down and go to bed. We are still working on hand signs for stay and drop but she has been such a dream to train :) she is also now fully house broken so thats a plus. She is still at heart a placid dog but she does love fetch with my son but cant do it for long after about 5 mins she has a drink and goes and chews on the ball under the table.

3/23 - Bindi had her first run without the leash on the beach as she is no longer barking at dogs she doesnt know, she did very well at coming back when called until the end when we ran into about 3 or 4 dogs and the play got her out of ear shot before i could get her back. but overall the visit went well and she had so much fun playing with other dogs and the surf :) she also can on hand commands sit, lay down, go to bed and stay. 

5/31 - sorry for the long brake in updating its been busy lol anywho im going to be looking into self training bindi some support commands to help manage my son. commands like alert -for the back yard to bark when he climbs the fence- lay -to lie on my sons lap and watch -to keep eye on my son like she would a sheep- why well i just mentioned out loud the thought it be nice if i could tech her alert so my son could play freely in the back yard not two mins later she started barking thinking a bush turkey i started to tell her off but on looking outside i see my son nearly over the fence, after getting my son back in the yard i rewarded the dog i couldnt beleive she understood what i wanted so proud, that def the border collie in her but she is very smart to know her masters concerns so fast -she doesnt see my son as a master more like a play mate lol-

yeah im already seeinng that inside she is placid but outside shes a ball of energy. but thats pretty much what she was like at her old place but we shall wait and see.

hahaha awesome, my sis is also getting a boarder collie mix puppy but hers is a mastiff cross so it will be huge compared to Bindi lol

yeah but at least the collie part should make training easier. Bindi has been a dream with her training.
