Hi guys, after i am done finishing up a few custom orders for art, I am going to tackle a rather large project.

I would like to do a "Base" for each breed on HP(horses). I just need to know what coat colors (base, dilutions, modifiers, cover ups), patterns (paint, appaloosa, oddities), and markings (facial, leg, body) that you'd like to see for each breed. Even if you do not actively breed them, I would like to eventually make way to get through EVERY breed there is here. 

Unfortunately, I myself do prefer realistic colors/patterns for breeds (no dun or cream arabs, no dun friesians, etc), but for the sake of this game, I am going to throw that out the window! 

The only one I am not really into changing up too much are the Thestrals, those are black reptilian like beasts and i like to stick to the harry potter description of them since they're one of my favorite beasts. 

So basically I need to know:

Breed(s):

Colors (including all varieties):

Patterns (Genetically modifying patterns, paint/appaloosa):

Markings (facial/leg/etc):

Other: 

This will be a project that's going to take time, obviously, but i do want to get into it as soon as im done with my art orders. If you can help me out, I'll love ye forever ;3 

honestly i would think sticking the the basics color wise would be better time wise for you.

if someone wanted some different its something you could charge for.
also perhaps just doing a stock/warmblood/draft/arabian/pony Breed which can go with a bunch of different breeds and then 

if your dead set on colors maybe offer a different "pose" of the above (running/head position stuff like that) might help save you time and what not

Um dun and creme Arabs do exist IRL. Not common but they do exist.

Missouri Fox Trotters can come in any solid or pinto coloring. I'm parital to this fellow, though

Are you going to sell these in auctions? If not, you could donate them to the HP image bank, or just the breeds that are currently needed. 

I agree with what Maha said too, some breeds could be the same base, just different pose or color, if you wanted. 

I breed Kabardas, which are rare on HP and a Warmblood type...They are usually black base coat colors like seal brown, bay, black...but they can also rarely be gray. 

Also, I'd love an American Cream Draft base :D They are known for their gold champagne coloring and amber eyes. 

Oh lord that is a lot. I agree that you may be better off doing breed types (pony, Arab, warmbloods, stock horse, light Draft, heavy Draft, Iberian, gaited) and then do a couple more unique lines for the more exotic breeds like Akhal-Teke, marwari, campolina, etc. 

As for colors, I always just stick to what's acceptable for the breed. 

I am looking for 3 Icelandic pictures though... *whistles*

Colors (including all varieties): blue roan, black, grey. less common: red roan, bay, chestnut, dun, grullo, palomino. 
Patterns (Genetically modifying patterns, paint/appaloosa): Frame overos and sabinos-some with blue eyes are also considered characteristic (tobiano patterns occur only with cross-breeding)
Markings (facial/leg/etc): nothing to add
Other: nothing to add
