Keep in mind this is a half-formed idea at best that I literally just thought up loosely while standing in the tack room at my barn conditioning bridles lol

Would there be any interest in me creating an official HP player birthday calendar? Something linked in the menu up top that would correspond with a forum post for you to tell me your birthday so I can add it to the calendar. 

Purpose could be to have other players be given the opportunity to acknowledge your birthday in a forum post like Jaya used to do, in addition to what you already get automatically from HP on all your accounts on your day (aka claiming money).

Could also be more than this, I'm open to suggestions! Like I said, very much a half-formed idea I wanted to put out there lol

I think I still have a google doc with all the birthday's I'd compiled that you're welcome to have if you want it. :)

I  do think that players should be able to consent to this or not... for a while, I didn't want the attention on my birthday...

maybe have an opt-in or opt-out option?

There will be a post to add to, so dont want your birthday discovered? Dont add it to the calender :)

I love it! Also how does one fix the birthday dates on an account? I don't remember ever receiving birthday money on any of my accounts so I was wondering if there's a way to verify or change the dates so they're correct?

Back when you created the account you put in a date, so whatever date that was it recognizes as your Birthday in the database. In order to get the Birthday HPD you have to log into the account on that day to claim the gift!
You'll have to message Blitz to see if she can help switch dates around. :)

@Lynelle: Participation would be entirely dependent on you replying to a forum post saying "my birthday is July 15th" and I'd then add an all-day event to a Google Calendar linked to a HP page like the calendar we already have. The all-day event would say "Lynelle's Birthday!". Again, entirely depending on you wanting me to add it, and would not involve your birth year. 

@Ris: You set it back when Sam first added it onto the game a million years ago (I don't believe it was something there right when HP opened...it probably was added when she originally limited the age of people on the game). Then you would have reset it again I believe after the great hack of 2019 when a whole bunch of stuff including passwords and pwc were reset so everyone had to re-do them. But yes. You are welcome to message me asking about what yours is listed as from each account you're wondering about, and also welcome to ask me to reset, again has to be from each account, or alternatively you can shoot me an admin email. When it is your birthday, though, as you've set the date on HP, you only have that day to claim the birthday money, which is in the form of a link like the "New News Update" ones...as soon as your birthday has passed it's no longer available until the next year.

Edit: Ok I guess I will implement this at some point in the next week or so!
