ughhhhh someone give me a theme so I have something to work with.

A journey!

Okay. Never written a narrative poem before, so sorry if this is off-base!

I woke to the sunlight streaming into my room

But I kept my eyes closed a few moments longer.

There was so much to do today, so much to get ready.

I’d better make a list:

I need to get up,

Get dressed,

Everything in the bathroom,

Get my bag out from the closet,

Pack up my clothes,

Pack my medicine, 

Find my passport,

Make AND eat breakfast,

Clean all of that up,

Get everything in the car,

Drive to the airport..

Ugh.

There’s so much to do. 

Maybe I can lay in bed a little longer.

I roll over,

and pull the blankets over my head.

Beep beep beep

Beep beep beep

Oh crap, what’s that?

Oh, right, my alarm.

Time to really get up this time.

With a sigh, I open my eyes,

And sit up.

I swing my feet to the floor, and stand.

I step out of my room, and I pause-

Wait...

what was I doing?

I can't remember.
