So in the last year or so I caved and bought a Kindle, and it's reignited my love of reading. Been a longtime horror fan and movies have just been sort of a let down as of late, or maybe I'm just desensitized at this point, I dunno.

Anyway, I've fallen headfirst into horror books, kind of dipping my toe in extreme horror but immediately noped out after a couple of them and DNF some of them, but my last list of books I read and absolutely loved were the following:

The Deep by Nick Cutter

The Troop by Nick Cutter

Brother by Ania Ahlborn

The Shuddering by Ania Ahlborn

The Harr by David Sodergren

Sister, Maiden, Monster by Lucy A. Snyder

and I'm currently reading Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell which I kinda find I'll get into then sort of get pulled back into then drift out of. Anyone else been reading anything of the sort? The above are just to name a few, I've been reading a ton but won't add all of them on here. Would love book reccomends or chat with anyone that's read these or others.

They're fantastic. The Deep was a gut punch but I loved it so much. There is mention of animal cruelty, just a fair warning, toward the end there's a pretty graphic depiction of it especially but overall it's like Event Horizon meets the Mariana Trench. The Troop also is fairly gross but so well written.
