So. I recently got a kitten, and while both my dogs are 'cat friendly', they have not been around kittens.  I am concerned because I do not wish her to die.

Specifically I need advice for Dozer.  Tazz is 100% fine.  In fact, she is mothering the heck out of the kitten and has already thoroughly established she will keep an eye on it, but not harass it, and will play with it (or let the kitten play with her tail).  She actually wont even pay attention to me unless I say her name  - she is too busy with the kitten.  And this is a dog that usually is within five feet of me.

Dozer, however, has difficulty with the concept of not chasing.  The kitten will voice herself clearly to back off, and Dozer will take his giant head and snuffle her... and she will run off and the chase is on.  So far I've ALWAYS been present, and due to the fact that it's summer and Dozer is 90% of the time outside in the yard...it's not been a huge issue.  But I would like to encourage a... happy friendship between the two.  And right now, I am ensuring when I am not present to step in, the kitten is contained separate from the dogs.  I would like them to not have to be separated in the future, though.

Any advice?

Until she's old enough she can safely climb up something and remove herself from the situation and/or sustain a pretty heavy head butt from dozer.. i'm not sure there's all you can do. Big dogs often have issues with understanding how big they are versus how small other things are... so dozer's 'being gentle' is still more than the little kitten can take.. so keepng them supervised until shes old enough to tick off up a curtain would probably be the best option and making sure you keep a watch out because he's being nice... just a dozer kinda nice is still a steam roller just trying to shake your hand - its not going to end well. Overall he doesn't sound like he's being nasty so its not really behavioural kinda deal - its just keeping it controled until the little 'un can handle herself.

Haha, steam roller just trying to shake your hand is the BEST analogy for Dozer ever.

Yeah, he's not intending to hurt her... but as his paw is bigger than her head... you can see my concern.  I'll just keep them separated hen unsupervised until she gets a bit... resilient?  Bigger?  xD

it also might help if your able to give her some place high enough he cant reach her so she can get away if she needs too (like a cat tree or something).

I'm never really good when it comes to introducing cats and dogs because all of our cats are the type that if a dog comes at them and they dont appreciate it, they smack them in the face and the dogs figure it out pretty quickly haha.
