Today my dad had to put down our beloved family pet ikaika. I am deeply hurt and broken about it.

I raised that dog on a bottle and he was 15 years.. i know it was better then him suffering but it still kills me.. like i didnt even enjoy the snow this morning =(

Oh no! -hugs-  I am so sorry you to hear about that.  Losing pets is losing family members.  I'm glad he is no longer suffering, but it doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye.  Go make a snow angel to raise your spirits!

*hugs* Sorry to hear it hun. It never gets any easier. Doesn't matter if you've had to say goodbye to one fur baby or 100. It hurts every time. I had to say goodbye to my Lab in 2013. He and I grew up together. He was real real sick towards the end and I was wondering if he would make it until I saw him again over Thanksgiving (he lived with my parents in St Louis which is 1,000 miles from me here in Florida). I am 1,000% convinced he waited for me. I will never think otherwise. He could have gone at any time before that, but he didn't. He wanted to see me one more time, and even then, he waited until I was out of the house and visiting my (at the time) in-laws before he left this earth. He wanted me to see him one more time the way I always saw him, wagging his tail and happy to see me. He didn't want me to see him hurting. I'm tearing up now typing this and hugging my German Shepherd puppy a little tighter, but I know that's exactly what happened. He wanted to say goodbye his way. Still hurts all these years later. But we give them the best lives we can so that when that day finally comes, they go knowing what love truly is.

My dad put me on speaker while they were at the vet.. i told him i loved him and im sorry i wasnt there to comfort him.. it hurts so much x.x i cried all day my eyes are sooo puffy x.x
