Karma Farms Rebuild Go Fund Me

"You guys, this is the farm I talk about all the time. At about 12:30 Saturday morning this place was hit by an F2 tornado. I was watching the farm while Ms. Vickie (pictured in orange) was out of town for an Open House. Tori, who is Ms. Vickie’s oldest (pictured in purple), myself, and Tori’s husband had the task of catching 8 stallions in the pitch black and pouring rain, while trying to watch for the buffalo. There was only one standing stud pen at the time. There was a tree on part of the house and there were 4 or 5 other downed trees. This weekend we did a lot of clean up, built temporary pens for the studs, and put a tarp over the hole in the roof after removing the tree. However, FEMA declared the house a total loss and there’s still about $10,000 worth of damage. Ms. Vickie is still living in the house as she has no where else to go and her bedroom is still livable but there’s no gas or power, last I heard.

Vickie Ives has worked with horses her whole life and has dedicated most of it to the preservation of Spanish Colonial Horses (Spanish Mustangs). Her SCHs have won many awards and her most prized stallion, Rowdy Yates, has even been immortalized as a Breyer model. She has done her best to keep the breed alive and healthy along with her own Native American heritage in ways that it ties into this particular breed. She is a wonderful wonderful woman and her only source of income is her farm. I understand if you can’t donate but if you could please signal boost, I’d so appreciate it.
