Sorry if this has already been brought up before, but would it be possible to get rid of the expiration dates in the auction? Or maybe letting players pick the end date?

I'm always forgetting when they expire and then you lose out on the bids.

Just thought I'd see what everyone else thinks :)

I feel like a "no expiration" auction would flood the auctions with really old graphics. Like, people would just end up leaving their auction open for months or years, even if they get bids.

Maybe, a day before the auction is to expire, an automatic message gets sent to the auction creator warning them. Kind of like the "your upgrade is expiring" message.

I also frequently forget to accept or check my graphic auctions, especially if I don't set an AB.

That would work as well! Just some form of notification.

yeah im also am always forgetting my auction end dates so a warning msg would be very helpful more than an extention date cause you can extend the date of your auction slot by editing it.

I like that auctions have an expiration date. It keeps buyers on there toes and more incentive to bid on the graphic. Also helps sellers price their graphics ( ie, if no one bid on the graphic by the expiration date, then the price is probably too high).

However, I also find it super annoying that if there is a bid, it disappears along with auction expiring. I support either the warning notification, or perhaps if a bid is present, the auction disappears from the graphic auction page, but goes into Escrow so that the Seller still can have a chance to accept the high bid once the auction has expired. Maybe have a time limit for this too, ie "you have 2 days accept or reject the high bid".

I haven't sold anything in approximately a million years, so I can't remember what we get notifications for. But an expiration notice or a notice whenever you get a bid... I have the worst luck remembering to close out auctions.
