Dalmatian
About the Breed
Good carriage dogs! What they were historically bred for was protecting and alarming people and horses on their long treks of potential hazards on the trail. Today, there are trail trials, where dals exhibit their ability to heel and long stay next to humans and their horses. Dals are high energy, strong, and have high stamina so they need constant play time. They're excellent companions for the active human, hikes and runs are super fun! Probably what you think of when you hear dals, the fire truck dog! This, however, is just an extension of the carriage dog. Dals have a white base with several variants for their spots and patches. They can be black spotted, liver spotted, lemon spotted, or tricolor. Unfortunately, dals are frequent shedders so regular brushing is a must! |
