which dna testing is the best? my birthmom wont tell me anything about my father. and what i know of our back round is mostly from her sister and my aunts kids, only thing i really know of my father is an name and he was an small person (from paper work and asking around to people who were in mom life at that time) but ya i wanna find him if i can

One cause i should be able to know him. and most of all theres talk (from paper work state gave me.) and an rumor that someone told him i had died when i was an baby.  and that the state never told him i was going up for adpotson. and unless there was safely issce about that was adesnt his rights he should been inform his rights were being taken away

23&ME DNA HEALTH is good if you are looking for health information. I loved my 23&ME ( which are the results that I posted here).

I have since taken Ancestery and confirmed that Dad A in my orginal post is very much, very unfortunately, my biological father. Now I am working up the nerve to ask the Dad who raisedme to adopt be so I can get the one name off my birth certificate.

Ancestry has the much bigger DNA Database and if I wouldn't have taken it, I would still have no clue who my dad was.

I got the 23&Me kit this past Christmas and was surprised to find I had some French and Irish in me! No one know's who my father is also, not even a name on my birth certificate, so I'm just chalking those results to his side of the gene pool. All the other results I pretty much expected and one of my cousins also took it which backed up some of the info too. It was fun to discover and I like looking back at the results from time to time. :) They usually have sales around the holidays too!

concourse. once you have the nerve. ask dad B too. Sorry to say if dad A had the chance and wasn't in your life for whatever his or the reasons were then Dad b is your dad. And depends how los you are to dad b I sure he be glad to adpoted u. When you feel the right time is. I hope you find the best way to ask/go about it

Dad "A" never wanted me. Didn't believe I was his. Him and my mom were going through a divorce and he wanted me hid from his lawyer as to not complicate things. -eye roll-

Dad "B" Never claimed me either, but both him and his family swear up and down that I am his. They are a bunch of mental cases too. I am not his.

My Dad (I guess... "Dad C") raised me and is nothing but a man who met me when I was 6 months old and claimed me as his. He raised me up telling me I was his until him and my mom split when I was 13. It was then I learned about Dad A and Dad B. I want him to adopt me, so I will go and reach out to him in due time. At the moment Dad "A" is on the certificate, has been confirmed by DNA, but he also refused to sign when I was born.

For what it's worth, if you plan on actually looking into your family tree, Ancestry doesn't let you upload DNA results from other sites onto it. But you can download your Ancestry results and upload it onto other Family Tree sites.

Theres's a really good genealogy reddit page that has lots of smart genealogy people on it if you need more advice!
