Hey all, I have a question for you! What is your favourite photoshop/graphics programs, and drawing tablets? 

I am new to HP and had taken a major hiatus on my online gaming and graphic design, so needless to say, I am pretty rusty. I used to play Horseland back in the day (I quit around 10 years ago), and absolutely loved it until all the changes started coming about. I went on a couple days ago for nostalgic purposes, and discovered this site while surfing on there! I was estrellato studios (101536). Anyways! I love how this site is so much like the old HL (except maybe even better, from what I've seen so far!) and am really looking forward to getting back into all of this. So yeah, I'm looking at updating my graphic design stuff (considering most of mine isn't even usable anymore) and would love all of your input! 

 Also, I would love to purchase a layout for the next while, while I'm starting to get into the swing of things (I do hate a messy page, and it's going to take some time for all the coding memories to come back to me hahah!) Obviously, as I have just joined, I don't have disposable income on the HP money side of things, but I would definitely be willing to do an upgrade, or something of the sort! If any of you have offers/ideas, just comment or send me a message! I'm hoping for a Military/Police K9 type of layout, but totally understand the need for artistic freedom. I'm a full time paramedic and I train working dogs, so I like the idea of kind of a "badass" theme.

I haven’t used my tablet for a long time! But I have a Wacom bamboo capture  tablet and I never had a problem with it! I do have to say get the wireless adapter for it because dealing with the cord is annoying you only need the cord to charge it IMO! I have photoshop elements or gimp are both good programs , not sure if photoshop elements is still available it came with my tablet when I got it!

As for budget, I would love to spend $100 or less if I found one that works really nicely, but if necessary, I could spend up to around $250. If I decide down the line that I'm using it loads and I really want something fancier, then I'll consider buying something more expensive later. And thanks Reno! I'll absolutely check out the chat!

Hey everyone! So, in case you were wondering, I ended up purchasing a Wacom Intuos Small and managed to get the free trial for Photoshop CC loaded on my laptop (took HOURS of attempting to do updates!), but alas! It is done. I figure I'll fiddle with PS and Gimp for the next month and then decide whether I want to spend the money on a subscription for Adobe later. I was considering getting a Huion tablet so I could have the size without spending the extra money, but I would have had to order it in and I was super impatient, so I went with the Wacom and am very happy with it! It is definitely small, but it only caused a couple isssues, and I think it'll all be stuff I can train myself to get used to. Anyways! I figured I'd post my first project on here since you all gave me a hand in making my decisions. I'm definitely rusty, but considering its been years since I did any digital art, I'm fairly happy with it. I'll get better with a little more practice! I referenced a picture of my dog when she was a pup. (#1316 will be my ID number, as I just bought it. It is Nikita's birthday :D 1st of March, 2016)
