Hey everyone, for those worried about where I went, I just wanted to give a quick update as to why I have suddenly been M.I.A on HP without a trace. As some of you know - or may not know - in June, during a rainy day, my Uncle fell during one of his shifts at work after complaining of lightheadedness, dizziness and nausea. What started out as a minor fall quickly turned into something much worse: the awful c-letter word. We found through testings that it metatasized from his Bladder Cancer and turned into Stage IV ( meaning terminal ) Brain Cancer. We have also found out that it has spread all through his body via bloodstream, and his heart function is only at 20% efficiency and dropping (he is on a ventilator on / off and needs an oxygen mask for breathing assistance ).

As you read this, my Uncle will be undergoing his fourth surgery { he has had three for bleeding in his brain, and one because of a spinal fluid leak }. He has also had raging fevers on / off, has rapidly lost weight, and has very little incentive to eat despite given medicine to increase appetite. It has been a month since he was admitted into the ICU and he is still currently there. They have not even done Chemotherapy yet due to so many of these setbacks, and physical therapy is just BARELY being accomplished due to being weak and losing both muscle and strength. We also found out a day ago that his platelet count is concerningly low as well.  There has been no real break for him, and although he does not talk often, when we do finally hear his voice, all we hear is him sadly wishing to go back home and it is truly heart-breaking.

I have gone M.I.A to help my Aunt with her chores, paperwork, and other things, as well as preparing them for if my Uncle should pass away before we even get the right treatments undergone; I also talk with him through Facetime whenever that is possible ( we cannot see him because of the germs we carry outside of the sterile room, which can worsen his condition ). This whole event has been a downward spiral to a black-hole, and we still have a long journey left to go. I do not know when I will be back on HP fully, as all of this has been so draining. I miss you all and hope things get back to normal soon.

I'm so sorry to hear this! :(. It's such a hard disease on everyone who comes into contact with it.
