I'm going at the beginning of September for a few days! Does anyone have suggestions of things to do/places to eat/stuff to look at? I've been there before once when we were driving through and we didn't have much time to do a whole lot, so it'll basically be new. |

One of the things we did when we were there a few years ago is visit the Belle Meade plantation which is an old thorougbred farm. There's a nice zoo in Nashville. I know we tried some BBQ there but I don't remember specificially where... |

Since I'm an absolute weirdo, I like going to hole-in-the-wall places that are lesser known from the common attractions. I also make a list of each thing for each state ( best hotels, eateries, attractions, shopping, etc.) that can fit the budget. There's some things that take 2-3 days in Nashville, these are my top picks that are just 1 day so you can see more: Attractions - The Grand Ole Opry & The Country Music Hall of Fame (I love country music :P) - The Johnny Cash Museum & Cafe (A cafe turned museum showing the iconic timeline of Johnny Cash's life) - Cheekwood Estate & Gardens (Home to the inventors of Maxwell House Coffee and Tea) - The Hermitage ( Home of President Andrew Jackson) - Bicentennial Park's WWII Granite Globe (It's 18,000lbs, floats on water, and spins) - The Partheon Art Museum (The exterior is a replica of Greek Arcitecture and inside is unique artwork) - Tennessee Central Railway Museum ( I like trains :P) For dining I would recommend looking through Yelp! or on the Nashville website to kinda see who accomodate best because some restaurants do not, as I've had to change eating itineraries quite a bit for that reason. Hope this helps and have fun! :)
