when is the best time to breed animals?

as title, apologies if this is a dumb question! do you guys tend to wait till your animal has reached a certain point before retirement? i'm wanting to start my own lines of dogue de bordeaux's, and i'm hammering them with training. just wondering what others have found best, really! :D thank you in advance. |

Wait until right before retirement so your animals have the highest amount of points. So either the day before they retire if you live on the edge and want max points, or breed the Sunday before. That way if you have stores in training at the same time they'll age the same. Dogs retire at 16, horses at 21. So I think most people would breed the Sunday their animals turn 15 or 20, depending on what they breed. If that makes sense. |

I live on the edge and breed the day before. Ie. my ACDs retire on 9th September so I'll breed on the 8th but I have a spreadsheet with all dates in so I don't miss a breeding (although I did last week due to stallion retiring one day before the others and me not recording it so I did a retirement breeding). I check my spreadsheet every Sunday to confirm who breeds that week (if any). |

I'm like maha lol, plus if I need to buy stores, then the ages all match up and there's no confusion. Also, if you have a lot of different accounts and animals, like me, it helps to keep a list of all breeding dates so you never forget. Once I forgot to breed some Direwolves on a Sunday like usual, and did it on a Tuesday. Never again lol. |

We're free to breed as we wish, tif xD in fact, I've bred some pairs of Paints a week or two earlier in order to combine them with other ones. I could've used de-ages or retirement breedings, but due to double points month, they were all ahead of their point goals. I'm saving my HPB for greater things :D |

I breed at 15 for dogs and 20 for horses. Now if it happens on a Sunday or if it happens on a Wednesday is totally random and up to my real life schedule haha. |

I use either the "living on the edge" or the "Sunday before" strategy depending on how the ages of the various animals line up. |

I also really try to breed on the sunday before they retire. I sometimes forget so I can't trust myself to do it a day before they retire lol
Lately my backups are all bred on sunday and then time for finals comes along and I forget and do it on mondays and it drives me crazy... but it's better than not doing it all together lol |

i am greedy for points so i literally wait the day before, but sunday is a popular option to stay as organizes as possible! |
