Strukk needs help deciding on a laptop to beg her parents for. ;___; I had a dell inspiron mini 10 for like, five-six years. However, this is the third time its decided it wanted to play dead so I'm just going to let it be. it's too expensive to get it fixed and I want (and need) a real laptop. So, any suggestions? A Macbook is kind of out of the question for now, they're too expensive. Any help would be lovely and rewarded with cookies!! |

just basic stuff for school, really. I'm in 12th grade so I'd like if it would last at least part way through college too. :P And if I could use it for my photography editing and stuff that'd be cool, but it's not necessary as I have a desktop for that. |

ASUS!Asus laptops are SUPER cheap for as powerful as they are. The company is the leading manufacturer of motherboards (pretty much the most expensive component) so there's a price cut there. They also don't do too much advertising and aren't really carried that widely in retail outlets, so that's advertising fees and retail markups you're avoiding. I use an asus a53e, which is a model no longer on the market.Amazon - Windows 7 operating system (previous edition. Windows 8 is kinda terrible.), 15" screen. Amazon, price low to high. Most of these are "used" as they're a previous edition of windows.Bestbuy - 15" screen, low to high. There are some DIRT cheap laptops in here. Link Tree |

I was looking on Bestbuy's website and saw a few Asus computers! I didn't know anyone who had one, so I wasn't sure if they were worth it (I also got them confused with Acer - they suck haha)but I'll definitely take that into consideration. :D Thanks!! |

Keith has an Asus...it's a good laptop but lately he's had problems with the charger port even after paying to have it repaired. The repair shop guy said it was a common problem with them. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad...ugly to look at aesthetically but works well. My sister has a HP and I believe it's worked well for her |
