Show Flooding?

The issue of 'flooding' seems to come up a lot, but I'm just wondering what people mean by this? Is it that you don't think the points your get are good because there are too many horses/dogs in shows? What is considered a flooded show? All of my animals easily hit well over 1 million points by retirement with just using random enter all for the week. 1 million is considered the point standard on HP. Are your animals not hitting 1 million? |

In my opinion, a flooded show is one where there are so many entries that you do not consistently get good points.My animals are consistently hitting 1.3mil from just public shows, so I do not consider shows (for the most part!) to be flooded. |

Stopped looking as soon as the enterall and random entry feature were added. Usually the first page or two of shows, and the last page or two of shows have the most entrants. First shows on a page have more than the middle and bottom of the page. People hand-entering just going for the first results, usually. Since the random feature was added, I think shows have become a lot more evened out and point gain more consistent. Before, you could have as much as a 30k-60k disparity between horses depending on what page of shows you entered them on. Link Tree |

Some weeks i find my animals do better then other weeks. Guess that depends on if people have made their shows? I dunno.You have to remember that points are only awarded for the first top 50 places, after that they only get the entry points.So does this mean every show is flooded? Since there are FAR more then 50 animals in each show.Mind you, like the others have said, I have NO problem hitting 1mil. Whether I train all 80 on sunday, or do 20 per day. |

I guess I dont get it either, but it would be kind of nice to see everyone making their shows, part of me wishes it did publics automatically, that might eliminate the floodedness of them, if people feel they are. ~Chip |

One, if the game automatically made everyone's publics that makes things way too easy. :PTwo, people will always think shows are flooded. People always want more points - it's just HOW flooded things are will always and forever be a matter of perspective. |

Althow I have occasionally vented reguarding shows having too many entrants and my horses not getting the points I want them to, I have to agree with addy here, I mean if a game is overly easy you dont play it (cept super mario that game was awesum -giggles-) but other games really dont do well if they are too easy, and would hate to see that happen to one I love so much. My horses all hit 1 mil by retirement, I'm just picky. good thing show spots are cheap XD |

There was an issue with it before. Pre-enter all and random entry days, where some animals were getting upwards of 60-70k a week and others only 25-30k. We adjusted the number of auto shows and things evened back out again. It's not as much of a problem anymore. Link Tree |

I agree that this is a common topic, but also that I have no problem with reaching 1 mil on my animals simply by randomly entering my 79 of my 80 shows a week and consistently using my own private. :)DEFINITELY agree with Addy about not making public show creation automatic, although I make mine every week on she same day to run in the same amount of days and cost and be named the same thing I thoroughly think it would take away from the game for it to be automatic. -Carl Sagan |

If ever we do have an issue with flooded shows and people not reaching 1 million points, then we can always add in more autoshows. Also if that happens it will probably mean we have more players, which will mean more people making their shows (hopefully!) anyway. |

I just enter randomly...as much as I like it when I was getting more points than I am my animals should still hit 1 mill by retirement, if not more. I'm kind of in doubt about some of my dogs who have been getting about 70k/week...but not consistently yet - usually they get more (dogs need around 75k per week to hit 1 mill).They're not flooded yet, but they are getting pretty full. Not to the point where I'm really fretting though. |

I think shows are packed and compared to the number of animals let into private shows they're "flooded" but you're still able to reach the standard 1mil. I've got around 10 horses that have hit 500k+ at 9 using random enter all (-9/80 but still).I still try to avoid the more full shows if I can but it's not that serious a probably right meow.

I don't know where I stand as flooded.I have a pretty big difference in points of my sixteen dogs.The highest has 360-80k (forgot exactly) and the lowest is under 310k,which makes me discouraged.I've yet to get an animal to 1mill by retirement,but I do miss weeks so that's probably my problem. |

Yep I agree with everyone. I never have a problem getting my animals over 1mil (normally they get 1.1 - 1.3mil). |
