The Timber Wolf
 
The Timber Wolf (Canis lupis) is a species of wolf also known as the "gray wolf."  Despite their namesake, Timber Wolves come in many different colors: brown, all white, and all black.  Yes, their fur can be many different colors.  This color versatility is one exciting and interesting aspect of the Timber Wolf, which is also an incredibly adaptive animal.  They are found mainly residing in the continents of North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa.  Within these continents, they are found in various habitats, ranging from prairies to mountains and deserts.  Carnivorous in nature, they frequently feed on mammals such as ox, bison, moose, rabbits, etc.  They are known as keystone predators due to their consumption choices and the fact that they eliminate weak animals.  This allows for the strong, healthier animals to survive.
 
Timber Wolves generally grow between 55 to 130 pounds depending on the abundance of food in their environment and hunting success.
 
Timber Wolves are pack animals.  Packs can range from 2 to upwards of 30 wolves; the pack is led by the alpha male and, subsequently, the alpha female.  The pack can also contain subordinate wolves and babies.

Embassy Dogs

Store Wolves: I will have store dog pairs available for FREE.  They will be trained until sold and will also be submitted to all eligible clubs.  These dogs are available to any NEW breeders.  Even if you're been on HP for a while, these pairs are still FREE.

Nyx - Friendly reminder that Revan is the Timber Wolf Ambassador and this is the Breed Embassy thread. :) Timber Wolves are not a common dog breed on the game so she is posting these facts to help get people interested. I actually did a very similiar thing with my Holsteiners to gain interest. Hope this helps ^^

Ughh. Part of me really wants to start timbers and part of me also realizes I already have to many breeds and I need to excercise some self-control.
