Lines & Ages

Alright, how do you guys decide on the age ranges between your lines? For me I try to keep all lines the same age, but I've seen other players with lots of multiple lines have a variety of ages and I see the pros and cons to both. Is it a conscious thought process or more of a 'hey, I think I'll add another line time to buy from the store' sort of thing?

I'm asking this because I've been debating for a while on adding more lines to my COs but not sure if I should go with my usual all the same age or gap the aging a bit. Thoughts?

In a perfect world, all my lines would be the same age to make combining them easier, but then again, I don't want to combine every last line I have (within a single breed). But, having everything the same age is good for that. The reason some of my Finnhorse lines' ages line up is because I started them from the store at the same time, but the rest have all been started on a whim, I guess. For my other lines, like my TBs, the ages are all random because I bought different lines at different times. I can combine with cash shop items when necessary, but otherwise it doesn't bother me at all.

I prefer having all of my my separate lines at different ages because 1) I don’t have any plans to combine my lines and 2) that way I always have training to do instead of 2-3 weeks with none. (:

My ages have to be the same. It's easier to keep track of training, breeding and retirement days. It also prevents me from having adults alongside youngstock.
Of course, that doesn't always happen. o_o

I stage mine preferbly a few weeks apart on breedings that way I can have a rotation of animals and another break from training a big group on the horizon pretty much constantly. My last buying spree it was all too close together and I never got my break and it got exhausting so I wiped it clean and stated back over so I can be more aware of the ages.

I like to have all my animals the same age. If I do happen to acquire animals that that differing in age, I work them in eventually by breeding earlier or deaging or by some means. :) I have a hard enough time keeping track of all my different breeds of differing ages to be working about the same breeds of differing ages. xD

it really just depends. I started with different age groups to have a rotation. But then started combing all my aqhs so i had some that were say 15 mating to a 20. points would be slightly off a gen but fix themselves the next gen. I just keep training everything until it retires.
I have no rhyme or reason to it all really
