Nova Scotia Duck Duck-Tolling Retriever

This breed, recognized both by the Canadian and American Kennel Clubs, is a gun dog that originated in Nova Scotia, where they were used for tolling and retrieving waterfowl. In 1955 it became the official breed of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. "Tollers" are often mistaken for Golden Retrievers, but are smaller, with a more angular head, and darker, red-hued coats that are often stricken with white. As the smallest of the retriever breeds, Tollers stand at 17-21 inches (43-53 cm), and are slightly longer than they are tall. Tollers are intelligent, affectionate and energetic. They often have a strong retrieving instinct and love for water. I won't commit to breeding them, but Tollers would be accepted into the Retriever Association if they were added.. I think we actually used to have them on here? They're really cute! |

One of my characters in a story I'm writing has a Duck-tolling retriever and I'd love to be able to breed them. |

aw I didn't know they had been removed. I did like them but I can't commit to breeding them right now.

I'm starting mine up on Sunday and hopefully will be able to restart my old lines once the new store items are in!
