I wanna go to Iceland one day, but I want some advice from anyone who's been there/lives there. What to do (besides horseback riding lol), what to avoid, when to go, top touristy things and lesser known, but still cool tourist things, etc.

MY ROOMMATE WENT AND I HAVE BEEN OBSESSED EVER SINCE.

Β

Lots of riding, obviously. Lots of hiking. Diving. Hot springs. Beaches. I've heard of a tour you can take that runs around the whole island that a lot of people reccomend. a lot of really interesting little museums and things around. SO much history. I seem to recall hearing that there's a good club scene there? The local/traditional fare is... The stuff of nightmares to be completely honest but because of their strict laws regarding imports and exports all the food you see that... Isn't fermented shark and sheep eyeballs... Are going to be quality. Most everyone speaks perfect English. If they don't they probably speak another Scandinavian language which I know you know Finnish...Β

Lol Chao, the Icelandics definitely speak English, but remember that comedian? They don't speak Finnish there, they speak Danish xD I'm really not worried about the food tbh, it was just all the tour stuff I wanted to know about, and if there are any particular events to look out for a certain times of the year.
