so I just recently bought a mixed breed from the human society a Percheron x Black Forest horse or something

and I went to train with the enter all and surprisingly discovered that it can not be enter all trained so my question is why not it is part of my breed speciality ?

Probably due to the fact that it's not a perch, BUT a cross of a perch/black forest and the enter all only recognizes the horses that are "pure" of what the breed speciality is. Just my guess though.

Just from a programming standpoint, HP wouldn't recognize mixed breeds as part of your breed specialty. Technically to the program, a mixed breed is it's own breed, completely separate from Black Forest Horses and Percherons - and since that breed isn't the breed that's listed as your breed specialty, HP doesn't apply the breed specialty perks to it.

I'm not sure if it would be possible to adjust the breed specialty system to apply to mixed breeds that include your breed specialty though. That would be a question for Sam and the programmers.

To add what monnie said, i feel like each breed would need to be like added to the breed speciality list..

aqhxarab

aqhxappaloosa

aqhxaustrialian pony

aqhxclydes

aqhxdales pony

aqhxfinnhorse

aqhxfriesian

aqhxirishdraught

aqhxirishsporthorse

aqhxmustang

aqhxpaint

appyxarab

appyxaqh

appyxaustralianpony

appyxclydes

appyxdales

appyxfinnhorse

appyxfriesian

appyxirishdraught

and so on... like each breed would need to be standardbreedx(mixedbreed) and personally thats a long list and well, a lot of time and space... and not many of us have those mixed breeds that arent reconized. While many are on the approved mix list.

I could be wrong, but once its bred again its breed will be crossbreed no matter what, correct? In order to resolve issues like this, why not have all crossed breedings just automatically produce crossbreed? I never understood why there was this weird middle ground breed that just made it awkward to train, search for, etc.

Monnie is correct..it would be a HUUUUUGE undertaking to have all crosses tied to both of their "parent" breed specialties.

Would it be possible to have a check box asking if it's a crossbreed and then with drop down menus you get to specify what the cross is? Would get around having to input every single cross while keeping the possibility of crosses.

Here's a rough sketch:

I agree with Prynne: get rid of breed x breed, just make it a crossbreed or a mutt - problem solved.

(unless it's on the approved crossbreed list and makes an actual breed, of course)
