I was wondering what some of the more commonly bred horses might be here on HP. I started out with quarter horses but it seems not many people are into those. And part of the fun for me is breeding horses that people will want to buy/breed their mares to and looking for new blood to add to my breeding stock. It's hard to do that without many other breeders though. So what is everybody else breeding?

Thoroughbreds and American Quarter Horses are definitely top of the popularity table. I don't breed horses myself, so I don't know what else is popular. If you have a look at the Rankings page, you should be able to get an idea. :)

Like Ku said, Thoroughbreds and American Quarter Horses are probably the most popular. Straight Egyptian Arabians and Paint Horses are also up there.

If you're interested in public lines and outside stock, we provide quality studs (and broodmares) to the public for free! Our Paints and AQHs are lined, and we'll be starting up Thoroughbreds and SEAs next week! You can reserve a booking in advance or, if the stud/mare hasn't been booked at backup time, buy one of our backup foals.

Personally I recommend Paints, but I might be a bit biased ;)

 I also recommend paints and have two backups in you are interested
