I haven't attempted a manip in uh... a long time lol. I wanted my foxes to have a custom image, though, and figured I might as well post it here for some feedback while I'm at it. Thanks in advance, y'all. :)

The font is really cute, and I like the background! I think the lighting with the fox is a little off though! And maybe move the fox upwards a bit, because the focus isn't really on the fox, it's more on the background.

I agree about the lighting--I think the issue is the more I messed with it, the more it started to look too red and/or dark? Though that might have been bc I'd been staring at it too long lol. I did go back in and try to correct it here: https://i.imgur.com/x7sFd3Y.jpg

A thing I've found that helps bring the animal into focus is blurring the background. Either a little or a lot, depending on how important the details of the background image are, and how much you want the animal to stand out ^^

You could also try sketching some white onto the bottom outside of the eyes and setting the layer to overlay/soft light or lowering the transparency (and/or use an orange color and lower the transparency to add some more color). This should sharpen the eyes and make them pop a little (beautiful eyes make a beautiful manip imo).

I was going to make suggestions similar to Mango, but kept my 2 cents to myself because I definitely do not have an eye for graphic design or the know-how.

I think your image is really good, it immediately remindded me of a trail cam picture...
