australian saddle?

I'm just wondering if anyone else rides with an Australian saddle? One was given to me with my mare last year and it was the first time I had ever been in one. I was surprised how comfortable it was and how different it was from riding in an english or western saddle.
Also, I'm not sure if it is that the saddle is so much more comfortable or that I now ride a gaited horse and it's such a smooth ride. Maybe a combo of the two? |

I've never ridden in one, but gaited horses are exceptionally smooth! |

I know it is incredible. When I was riding a QH/arab gelding my legs would lose feeling after about 20 mins from pinching all the nerves in my back. I rode for about 30-40 mins Sunday on my mare and didn't have any issues with my back/hips/legs like I normally would have. |

I was given one to trial when I first got Oliver and it was super comfortable! I ended up going with a western because it fit him better |

I have gaited horses and have tested all types of saddles with them! The austrailian is absolutely comfortable, however I could not recommend it for horses that have a more downhill build. Happy trails! |
