So I buy alot of my background stock for my photomanipulations. May I use those here? And How would I go about crediting as it's purchased stock? |

It depends on the actual background that you are purchasing. If you are purchasing pre-made backgrounds, then they are prohibited because the items within it cannot be traced back. You may only do actual stock backgrounds. Crediting the stock would be the original person you purchased it from because even though you have bought it, it is still their work. This rule also bodes the same if you are purchasing from public-domain areas like Unsplash or Pixabay. These rules may have changed since I went on hiatus, your best bet is to check with a Mod/Admin. These are what the rules used to be, but they change every year as nessecary. Hope this helps! :)

Thanks. :3 I buy alot of my images from gumroad and art station.com I figured I'd have to still credit them, but wasn't sure as I bought the rights to use it how I see fit. |

What Equ said =) Purchased or not we credit here on HP to also track the sources so we know that the original artist allows them for use on other websites =) So with that being said:
Question 1: Yes you may use them here! Question 2: You credit using the URL connected to the artist itself, for example for dA credits we use: deviantart.com/colourized-stock
Let us know if you have any other questions =D |
