Graphic Auctions Are Back!

The graphic/layout auctions are back! You will be able to make and finalize auctions now without a problem.

The difference from before is that you will no longer upload images directly to HP, instead you will need to upload them offsite and put in an image link (like you do when you put them on animal pages). This will hopefully keep anyone from potentially being able to exploit the upload code AND it removes the size restrictions that previously made it hard to finalize (plus it's better for our server speeds to not have to store the images).

However, I am aware of the issue that when you finalize a layout auction, it messes with the stylesheet on the messages page. This is something I am working on figuring out/fixing, and it shouldn't keep the auctions from being functional - it's just annoying.

New Survey!

Please help us improve HP by filling out our fall survey! Some of these are new questions, and some of them are recycled from our summer survey because someone spammed us and messed with the results. You will have to leave your HP name and ID or your response will be deleted, to prevent the spammer from messing with our polls again.

Forbidden 403 Errors

We think that most of these are fixed. The only one I am still aware of is for some signature codes when updating your information on the Edit Profile page. I am working on getting this fixed, which should be done shortly. I will reply to the forum thread associated with this news post when it's done rather than posting a whole new news post. If you run into a 403 error, please message me and let me know ASAP.

TinyPic is Closing

This is another reminder that TinyPic is closing! You will not be able to host images there anymore, and you will lose the ones you already have. Obviously this isn't something that is in our control, but we feel obligated to let all of you know so that you don't lose your animal or layout images (or forum signatures or avatars).

From the email they sent me:

September 9, 2019: Hosted images will no longer be viewable on 3rd party websites. (That means HP!)

September 16, 2019: Last day for TinyPic account holders to access their accounts to download their images.

Other Info Page Fixes

I have re-added a list of accepted crossbreeds to the Other Info page. It will automatically update when new ones are added.

I have also re-updated the achievements list, and improved it from before, as this will now auto-update when new achievements are added as well. If there are any achievements listed that you think you should have, but don't, please let me know ASAP!

Other Restoration Efforts

I believe at this point, the only thing I have left to restore from before the hack is the updated breed ambassadors page. Beyond that, as far as I can tell from my notes, all of the new codes that we lost in the reset have been restored. So now we're back to working on new and better things!

Liberty Labs and Patriot Paints

Liberty Labs and Patriot Paints are available in the regular store again! This is the last year that they will be available in September. Going forward (beginning in 2020) they will be available for the month of July to give them some distance from the halloween breeds.
