So I have been working at an auto parts shop part time for about a year now, and today, for mental health reasons, I finally got the guts to quit. So I'm done! And I am so excited to have my Friday nights and weekends back, it's going to be great for me to not be working seven days a week, I'll be able to work on my house, I'll be able to go out with my friends and family, go outside le gasp! And a really great thing about it is that my manager is a great guy and completely understood my reasons, so if I ever want to go back to the company when times are better, I'll be rehirable! Now to finish out the semester with tons of exams to grade and papers to write!

Yay! Working somewhere you don't enjoy and don't get time off is horrible for you mental health. I'm so glad you were able to leave and I hope you get caught up on everything and enjoy some ME time :)

I'm up earlier than I usually am on a Saturday and I'm so excited I can stay in pajamas and work on stuff with my laptop...by a window...and not be on my feet for the next 10 hours dealing with people who don't know anything about their cars but act like they do!

Awh yay! I 100% relate to this - I did a similar thing last year. Finally having weekends off is the best! Congrats!

I dealt with this over the summer I left my job for similar reasons as well as physical pain ( I broke my back and didn’t know it) but congrats enjoy your time !

I had to do the same thing with my second job! Working 7 days a week was just too much, so I'm glad that you put your mental health first and quit!
