800 per week per animal? That's a lot. Is there a reason for the 10k?

I am assuming it is suppose to help the economy in some way. I can see it being beneficial to newer players trying to make money. There is the drop down to choose the least expensive in the show enter screen. 

I guess that's the case. 
Also, I once read that chosing the least expensive option doesn't always mean that's what is chosen. Unless it's changed now.

10k per show seems VERY expensive (and greedy) to me.

I don't think a lot of players will be able to afford that every week, especially if they have larger herds.

Idk, just my thoughts. I don't think that my other accounts will be able to sustain that increase without constantly running out of cash lol

I had thought the same, Fen. I have/will have 23 dividers with at least 2 dogs in each. That's a ton of money per week.

Quick math, that would cost you 36.8 mill PER WEEK @ 10k per show.

I am all for helping the economy and new players, but I feel like this will do more harm than good.

I know it! I have 30 TBs going right now, which is a lot for me. I don't even want to know what a larger herd would cost every week lol

For a new player only making 750k a week from the bank, that wouldn't even be enough to keep two animals in training. 

Sam, would it be possible to show the cost of each show on the pages when training manually? I hope that made sense (it did in my head) lol

Is the 10k per show only applicable to player shows? I tried to make one for the Hunting Club at 3k and it said shows had to be between 0-2k.

New players wouldn't be able to train at that price.

i would be ok with CLUB shows being at 10k but not general shows.
also the money from the club shows goes back to the club so that I would understand then 

I personally dont support the change to 10k per show , i already thought that new players would have difficulty playing the game with the small amount of bank balance they got weekly and the income from the shows they broke even or just over and thats only with two horses , most people want to start a proper line with 8 horses/dogs but cant afford it. I have a decent bank balance and started two very large strong lines that i pay HPB for gender changes to make sure i can have it so that i dont have to add store stock into it , this on average costs me 100mil a week in training fees and thats just using random shows so it costs me 240k per animal weekly with this change it will be 800k. While upgraded accounts can make 4 shows per week thats still only 4mil in income providing they actually get 100 entries. With the changes it will now cost me more then 200mil to play the game weekly and i wont be doing that because it will bankrupt me in a month.

Ive said that the games economy is bad for the last 6 months , private shows are still being sold at very high prices (40mil) per animal for 1 week.
The income from the bank needs to be heavily adjusted to at least allow players to train a small line of animals and the bank interst needs to be heavily increased as well, its a very under utilized feature of the game and in my opinion not worth it.

The majority of the play base is making income from selling upgrades , not everyone is fortunate with the ability to code/do graphics which makes the game less appealing to those that cannot offer those services at all. While this keeps the game running it doesnt help maintain player base which in effect hurts the game.

For the economy to be fixed i think we need some sort of insentive for a HPD cash dump not just upgrades and store options , like limited edition things for your account perhaps? id need to put more thought into it.

Personally i came back to the game after quitting for 3 years because i wanted a game i could just jump on , train , enjoy my lines and not invest to much time into which is very heavily limited due to my 10month old. I dont have time to sit there and try and find cheap shows and to maintain my current lines would require me to make 2-3 graphics (providing they sell) to keep training.

Yea 10k should be for clubs

As with all changes we make, nothing is set into stone, and I am willing to consider meeting in the middle! But I do believe there needs to be an increase still. I'd be willing to go down to 5k HPD at least until the economy adjusts. I can change it tomorrow.

The idea behind changing it to 10k is to make it more in line with HP's current economy, since basic players rely almost solely on show income to train. The amount they will make from 150 entries into their shows will outweigh the potential cost of training 4-8 horses/dogs (and if increasing prices doesn't work out we can change it back or adjust it down, nothing is ever concrete when we make changes, especially those concerning the economy). Especially because autoshows will not be changing their price from $125 HPD and there are 125 horse autoshows and 125 dog autoshows made each day - so that's 875 shows each week for both horses and dogs.

But what you might be thinking of (?) is that if you need to enter 80 shows and there are only 40 shows at $500 HPD then the next most lease expensive show is $1000, it'll move up to the next one once you've entered all the shows at $500. Does that make sense?

I can also change the price of club shows. The reason I didn't is because I didn't want them to be ultra exclusive since you already have to pay to join the club and then pay to register your animals.

As for the economy in general, I agree that it needs work. We actually put a lot of time and thought into helping the economy, and we have introduced sinks in the form of the cash shop and other things and we're trying to hold regular lotteries as an attempt to pull HPD out, but we can only pull out what people will put in. We have also increased store and cash shop prices in order to sink more money. We also started charging entry fees for bingo, curtailed HPD moving into the economy, and generally pull several billion out every year during the mascot contest and Discount Candy Day event. There is also a 5% tax on shows, so the more is charged for shows, the more money gets pulled out that way. Prices have steadily dropped since we started doing this (the total HPD economy has dropped by about 200 billion since 2017), and I'm absolutely always open to suggestions! But we can't take drastic action without cutting 0's off of bank accounts and we cannot do that.

With regards to increasing bank income and bank interest, we have done both of these things recently, but we have to do it carefully because putting money in is a large part of the issue. We have increased them for new players more significantly than upgrades (since upgrades have other ways to make money besides public shows and the bank). Bank interest takes you 2.5 weeks to start earning a profit, which is modeled off of real life economies and I feel is very reasonable for people who are trying to save money and earn interest on it. There has to be a balance because otherwise players with several billion HPD could put their money in, earn interest, then take it back out and keep doing it, further dividing the economy.

We have done the math very recently on what a new player needs to make in order to train their animals and upped their bank income accordingly, and they are also chaged lower prices in the store and if I recall correctly for the vet and farrier/groomer as well. We also start them off with HPD in the bank as well as $5 mill HPD in their savings account, and send them 5 mill HPD if they respond to the welcome message.

I think 5k is a good meet in the middle place and to see how things go along from there!
I'd be okay with bumping clubs up to 10k, since that'll keep flooding down and make entering clubs more special. Plus the show funds would go into the clubs' bank which in turn can help presidents fund whatever contests they are hosting for the month! :)

Bump it to 5k. see how things go. if well then bump it again. leave some time for things to level out.

im ok for clubs going to 10k though, more incentive to register your dogs, and more money for the presidents to play with!

I just want to address this. If we lower the cost of private shows we cannot afford upgrades. The price of upgrades increased in both USD/HPD that is already making it hard to keep upgraded, but if we lowered the cost of private shows anymore than they are - it would be impossible to afford upgrades through HPD and I cannot afford real life money towards upgrade .
