Enter All vs. Selecting Shows

Which do you all prefer? I've always mainly selected my shows and recently I decided to do an experiment. I bought a pair of store horses and trained one with enter all and one with selected shows. Already at 5 the horse with the selected shows is around 70k ahead of the enter all. In the end do you find the extra work to be worth it by selecting shows? |

I am doing hand selecting this go around for my akita pair I started for the contest. I don't know if you watched that, but I won first and second place and it was because I got on every night around 11:45pm and picked shows for the next day. Plus all club shows. It made a drastic difference with the dogs (100% telling the truth, go check the contest thread). If I'm not mistaken my dogs got like almost 100k ahead of 3rd place. |

I believe it's super helpful to do. I just don't have the time, nor do I want to wake up just before switchover like Con did. But for those that are able to, it's fantastic! Cheaper than private shows by a mile. |

Yeah, if I wasn't already a night owl - I wouldn't do it. XD |

I like sleep way too much. I'd have to go to bed and then set an alarm or something. lol |

I have hand selected shows for most of my animals for years and compared to entering animals in 80 shows in one day for the whole week can add up to almost 1mill points difference (especially dogs) by the time they are breeding age! If you have the time to do it, it is definitely worth the extra effort! |

I did that with one of my first project dogs, he only had a goal of 3m and was only in like 20 private shows a week, he received tickets from my own accounts too. I had expected his project to cost a lot but thanks to hand selecting shows it cut down on the cost by an insane amount, I got him to about 4.4m instead. So as everyone else has said if you have the time, it's definitely more cost effective to hand select shows (& club shows). |

What about enter all the day before instead of training for the whole week? I don't have the time to hand pick with teaching and being in school, but I'm curious if that might be a small difference. |

Idk how the enter all script is programmed on here, maybe blitz or sam can let us know if that'd have impact.
When I hand select I'm only selecting shows with 20 or less dogs. |

I have previously hand trained a group of my dogs too. They retired with 1.8-2million points with just public shows. Bit short on time to continue this considering my mass herd 😂 but recently, I purchased 20 extra energy for one of my dogs and hand selected those to run the next day... the dog recieved 70k points from 20 shows if that helps! I suppose it depends how much time you have :) |

My hand selecting pixels store with 100k start are sitting pretty at 500k points at 5 years. If you can hand selecting shows offers huge rewards. |

When I had animals in training, I would just stuff them into whatever shows enter-all selected for me lol |

@ Yama, yes, daily enter all does make a small difference in comparison to putting them into the 80 shows all at once in one day for the whole week! |

Yeah, on my main, at least, I train daily, 10-20 shows a day, I don't do it all at once. I don't think it makes a huge difference, but that way at least the full amount of shows are made for the next day, so I have a chance in being in some of the more unflooded ones.
