Hi, Was wondering what point range/age do you usually breed your horse/dogs? I know this question might have a lot of different answers and might be relative to each person. I havent bred any of my animals and am just unsure when i should or how often Thanks in advance |

For backups I breed horses at 18 and dogs at 13.
For final breedings I breed horses at 20 and dogs at 15. |

I don't do backups (and never have) but I breed on the Sunday they turn 20/15 so that any new stores that are required are the same age. As long as they are trained weekly they hit 1mill points (although I've noticed this is slightly higher now) and that's all I aim for with most of them. |

I just breed at 15 for dogs and 20 for horses. I rarely bother with back-up breedings unless it's a project animal and I'm offering one for sale. |

With dogs - Some of my lines I have been doing double breedings (I like to hoard! Aswell as I've bred some twice for lined embassy dogs (if they dont sell I then I can always find a use for them!) so I do these at 13. Final breedings are on sunday when they turn 15. I do this then because I'll forget to breed them the day before they retire xD
Horses 18 back ups and 20 for finals. Although recently i decided to cull those down and with numerous groups at different ages... I did a mass breeding of ages 14-20. Just so all the goals are the same age to make it easier to keep track of whi needs breeding when. Personal preference really to what you want to do :D |

Does it use energy to breed? If your planning on breeding at 20, would you do it the Sunday they turn 20, or could you finish training them for the week to max their points and breed on the Saturday before they turn 21? |

I just breed at 15 for dogs, 20 for horses. I breed the Saturday right before the Sunday that they retire so to have the points on them from their last week of training and the foal/pup will be born with more points. I don't do backups. No one ever buys horses when I have them for Sale and I don't want extra related animals to worry about inbreeding by mistake. |

Roach: It does not take energy to breed, so yes, absolutely, you can train and then breed and get some more points for the foal/pup! |
