Assuming there wasn't a huge virus going on....

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? (and if you have a reason: why?)

Just curious!

I have already been there, but I would travel to North Carolina. I lived there as a kid and got to visit if you remember last summer, and there's just something about the east coast, I feel like I belong there lol.

But dream wise, I'd love to go to
-The Wizarding World :D
-Ireland
-London
-Paris
-Italy

And my best friend just moved to Oregon and her family is split between there and California and I'd love to go see her within the next year and visit both places.

I'm sure there's more lol I just don't see it happening so I'm blanking :P

I want to go to Scotland. I'm a huge Outlander fan. I don't even know what I'd want to see, I'd have to plan it out if I actually had the opportunity to go!

I really want to go to New Zealand, too, but a flight that long does not sound pleasant. Hm.

More locally, my favorite place to go to is Mackinaw Island (which is only like a 6 or 7 hour drive, lmao). It's an island between Michigan's two peninsula with no cars. So you have to rent a horse/carriage, bike, or walk everywhere. It's got a lot of historic stuff, lots of touristy stuff, plus they're famous for their fudge, so...

Lately, I've really been wanting to go to South Carolina.  I've been to all the states around it and we've passed through it numerous times but we've never really stopped for some reason?

We were loosely planning on visiting my sister in Washington before the fall semester starts but I have a feeling that's not gonna happen now  :(

If I had to go international, maybe France?  I want to travel just about everywhere!

I've been having stress dreams about traveling to NYC because I haven't been in so long and I'm having withdrawals xD

I've never gone international, but as soon as this is all over I'm determined to. Places on my list include:
- Japan
- Thailand
- Greece (specifially the island my family is from)
- Italy
- Cuba (also to see where my family is from)

Every U.S. state in a Winnebago (obvs it wouldn't be able to travel to AL and HI, so a plane would be needed)
Cape Town again
Tollymore Forest Park, here in Northern Ireland
Malta again
Isle Of Man again
Liechtenstein
Switzerland
Monaco
All the tiny islands like in the Pacific and Caribbean etc.

I would go back to where I lived in Madagascar to see my friends and eat yummy street food while shopping in the market.

*is pretty much Rapunzle and dreams of getting out of her tower and seeing EVERYTHING* but specifically:

London - huge history - esp. English history - nerd, and the amount of history in that city alone is drool-worthy.
Paris - I've had a love affair with the Notre Dame cathedral since I was 14 and read Hunchback for the first time (fun fact: the actual main character of that book isn't Quasimodo or Frollo or Esmeralda or Pierre - it's the literal cathedral. That whole book is a love letter to Notre Dame and it's contagious *heart eyes*)
Seoul - I have a lot of respect for and interest in Korean culture and history, and I'd love to spend some time in the capital city.
Norway - all of it :D My mom's side of the family is Norwegian and if I had to pick a historical era that's my absolute favorite, it's the Viking age/culture :D I'd absolutely love to take a cruise through the fjords omg
Scotland - also all of it :D seriously a gorgeous country, I'd love to just lose myself in the breathtaking views up there *-* Also, I plan on finding my husband up here. If I can't marry a gorgeous British actor with the personality of a Disney prince, then I'll snag me a handsome Scottish man with a wicked grin xD

Closer to home (and honestly the most likely of all these trips to happen) would be New Orleans. For some odd reason, I've been obsessed with that jazzy city since like middle school?? Like I don't even really wanna go during Mardi Gras, literally just wanna see the city itself lmao.

I went to my dad's house on Wednesday for the first time since this all started, and it felt like a HUGE deal. Definitely the furthest I've traveled in months. Put life into a weird perspective haha.

Norway - both of my grandfathers were 100% Norwegian. I love the culture. I love the fjords. I love the horses. I love it all.

All the rest of the Caribbean islands I have not yet been to on a cruise - specifically off the top of my head: St Maarten, the Virgin Islands, Barbados. I'd go to Grand Turk and Grand Cayman again in a HEARTBEAT. Also, Aruba.

The Pacific Northwest (PNW). Just a real chunk of the US I have yet to see yet. I want to go to Oregon and see Multnomah Falls. I want to go to Mt Hood, Olympics National Park, North Cascades, etc etc

BANFF/JASPER NATIONAL PARK!!!!!

I'd go back to Yosemite in a heartbeat as well. It was super dry when we were there and the waterfalls were pathetic. ;_;

Utah. So much to see in Utah - Arches, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Monument Valley, Zion, Dead Horse Point. Omgggggg

And finally, EGGGYYYPPPT. I am obsessed with ancient Egypt and I would've loved to have been an Egyptologist. A nurse is more lucrative, alas. lmaooo. But I'd visit the pyramids and the great sphinx. The Valley of the Kings. The museums. ALLLLLL THE THINGSSSSSSS!!!!

Iceland. This is probably my numero uno, most desired travel destination. It is one of the less *touristy* Tourist locations, with some really phenomenal, stunning scenery.

New Zealand. The LoTR nerd in me pleads to go to the shire, even if it is only a representation.-You'll never convince me there isn't a middle earth.

Rome. The ancient Roman time period is fascinating to me. I'd love to see some of the relics.

I'm with Mango - For some odd reason I am inexplicably drawn to New Orleans. I actually don't want to go during Mardi Gras, I want to see it in its natural, non-tourist driven glory. I only live about 8 hours away ,,, and one of these days, ONE OF THESE DAYS I will make it down there.

YES, Scor, let's go find Middle Earth together! That's honestly the main reason I want to go there.

Seoul is a BEAUTIFUL city in South Korea and it is only my bucket list to go one day.

I would love to see the N Seoul Tower, Gyeonbokgung, Changdeokgung, Lotte World, and Bukhansan National Park!

Germany for similar reasons.

And Maui.
Without my mom.
Because that made the trip hard.
