I know somebody mentioned we aren't doing any work on the auction/graphics system right now, but for the future.  :P

Maybe artists should be required to list a "Minimum Bid", and as long as a player bids at least the minimum the auction should go through.  A lot of auctions expire simply because the artist does not like any of the bids.  I think requiring them to list a minimum price they will accept for an image or layout would be fair to those who bid on it. 

We've decided in the past that we don't like the idea of auto accepting. What if the auction expired because the player took an unexpected leave of absence? Then the auction gets accepted and they'll be automatically fined when they don't complete it. There are also some players that as freelance artists they don't want to do work for because they may be rude clients and that is perfectly fair and they shouldn't be forced to work for them.

I would rather see an option for the seller to reject bids than to see an auto accept go through. If I list a minimum bid and you bid under it, I'm not going to accept it. If I don't set one and you big under what I KNOW is the going rate, I'm not accepting it either.

I would love a minimum bid, but like Chao said, we decided that there are just too many problematic variables with automatic acceptance. We did think of maybe an automated message just before your auction is about to close - so that you're reminded to accept any bids if you want to.

Oh, an option to reject bids would be nice to see.  I did think about the leave of absence thing... is there a way to delete our own auctions?

You can cancel your own aucton, yes.
