Layout Question

Hi all! I'm really hoping I'm posting this in the correct place; if not I deeply apologize!

I've been paying here on and off sine 2009, I try often to get into this site... and as much as I hate to admit it I sadly loose interest after a month or less each time; no fault to the site. The site and staff are amazing, much different than any other game I've played before. This site is right up my ally, I adore sim games AND horses! So I'm not sure why I always lose interest so quickly. Throughout this time I've never had a personal layout, and I honestly feel like having a gorgeous profile page and image for my lines would help me immensely to enjoy the site more on a personal level; and help me set goals for myself.

I keep an eye out for layout sales but I can never afford them with HP currency due to my lack of playing ): I know there is a layout generater, but I've used it so many times that I'm sorta worn out on it? So my question being- is it against the rules to buy a layouts/graphics from someone here for USD? Is anyone here willing to take USD comms for a manip and coding for my profile IF it is allowed? If I could get a layout this way it would be so much more convenient for me. (:

Thank you for any advice!

Hey Whim, welcome back!

Unfortunately, it is against the rules to pay for HP things in USD. Coding, graphics, shows, accounts, etc. cannot be bought with real life money. The only exceptions to this rule are upgrades, which are purchased by yourself or auctioneers with USD.

That said, I know it's def hard to earn the HPD needed to pay for services here, since the economy is very inflated. My first suggestion to earn larger amounts of HPD would be to sell upgrades if you can afford it. 1-month upgrades currently sell for 70 million HPD and 6-month upgrades sell for 245 million HPD, and all upgrade auctions are snapped up pretty quickly here.

Another option is to upgrade your own account(s) and sell your training tickets and private shows. Horse tickets and shows earn the most money, although it is significantly less than selling an upgrade. This method works best if you have multiple upgraded accounts.

In the meantime, if you'd like something other than the generator layouts, HP Helper has a ton of free layouts you can choose from that, while not personalized, have graphics and are fully coded. HP Helper also has code skeletons available with instructions to help you put in your own image, patterns, and colors. You can even use the skeletons to create layouts you can sell to other players to make some more HPD.

HP Helper is run by Aoi Haru Designs, who has had awesome layout deals for new players in the past. It looks like a full layout (with a custom image) order from her may not be available right now, but her page does list that coding is available (as long as you can provide an image). For an image, you can find some gorgeous quality pics on stock sites like unsplash.com.

Hope this helps! :D

Hey, Whim!

I'm also an "on and off" player and completely understand no tbeing able to snag things in the auctions.

If you like any of the coding skeletons on the HP Helper page Mango tagged I would be happy to make a custom image for you and can do enough coding to adjust colors/fonts/insert a custom image, etc to the skeleton. Just shoot me a message if you would like :)!

Hi Whim!
I am going to send you a message! I will happily make you a layout for Free since you are a new/returning player.

I totally get wanting to have a custom pretty layout to look at! That definitely makes the game more interesting and holds my interest for longer.
