Anyone else here collect model horses? Like Breyer, Peter stone, etc? I started collecting about 4 months ago and have about 20 traditional models(and counting), 10 stablemates; a few of them I stripped and painted myself! I just looove them haha! My favorite mold would be between Kennebec Count, Silver, or the Nakota. They're just so pretty ugh. I recently started buying custom-made tack for them off of etsy. My boyfriend thinks I'm nuts because our whole house is literally just... covered in horse decor. I really hope someone else here collects them as well :D |

I used to have a bunch of Grand Champions and Blue Ribbon horses! Only a few have survived over the years. |

oh my gosh, I used to collect Grand Champions as a kid, too! I haven't thought about them in years! |

Kuwait - Schleich's are awesome too! I see them a lot but I don't have any yet :D
Broken - Omg I would LOVE to go to Breyerfest one day! I live in Maryland though so it's pretty far away from me ): I've heard from a lot of people (I'm in a few model horse groups on FB) that it's a ball! I saw videos of Pecos performing at Breyerfest, it was so amazing! So many horse lovers all in one spot- man it must be a ball :'D The saddlebred molds are definitely beauties; especially the brand new Hamilton one!
Jaya - When I was growing up my best friend had a bunch of them, along with a hoard of Breyers! I would admire them each time I went over to her house. I wanted some sooo bad but we were pretty poor growing up so I couldn't afford nice model horses ): Now that I'm older and more financially stable I love to spend my extra money on them- it's sorta nostalgic to me in a way! I always wonder if my friend still collects- sadly we grew apart after highschool and haven't talked in years |

I still have a small collection of off brand horses that I used to play with, hours on end. Breyer horses were always too expensive for me to collect. My grandmother gifted me a real Trail of Painted Ponies figurine, though, and I would love to collect more. But that is another expensive habit. |

I still have a few Breyers around. But I got tired of moving my collection of 30 horses and sold some off years ago. They were all still in boxes |

When I was young I was obsessed with the Grand Champion horses specifically the Feed N' Nuzzles! I still have all of my horses, I think there is probably around 30-40. I keep them in boxes in storage hoping that once I have kids of my own they will want to play with them haha. |

I loved my time at Breyerfest! It took my friends an I about an 8hr drive including traffic and pit stops. Totally worth it! xD That was my first time in Kentucky and at the Kentucky Horse Park. We got entry to the park and it's museums and other things with our Breyerfest tickets which was awesome! I really loved all the live breed demonstrations throughout each day and the special performances! Gateway to India was the theme that year, so I have the Marwari celebration model all tucked away in his box. His real life self was so fun to meet! I got to pet his nose during some downtime at the stalls and talk with his people. Having the opportunity to be able to meet and love on some breeds I've never met before in person was amazing! That experience alone was worth every penny! The model horses are cool to look at too! |

I had one breyer that I'd been given as a gift, but otherwise they were too expensive for me, too, but I always loved looking at them. |
