The International Day of Friendship is a United Nations (UN) day that promotes the role that friendship plays in promoting peace in many cultures. It is observed on July 30 each year. 
 
Horse Phenomena has always been such an amazing community and I have made so many amazing friendships on here.  These friendships have grown and changed over the years. My BEST friends in life are two people I met on here and talk to on a daily basis still, even if they are currently on a break from the game. [I'm holding out hope they will be back soon!]

My best friend of 11+ years I met online on Horseland years ago. We connected instantly and have talked almost every day since (she is Keiani on here). I live in the US and she lives in Australia, one day either I hope to fly to her or vice versa so we can finally meet! We always game together, a game just doesn't feel complete if we don't play it together. We are so much alike and I can't imagine my life without her in it since shes impacted it so much; despite being on the other side of the world. I'm lucky to have met her and befriended her all of those years ago. I only wish she lived closer! On the other hand, my mom is my other best friend; if that counts. My mom is always there for me no matter what it is or what I want to talk about. I'm blessed to have such an incredible mom that doubles as a best friend! My other absolute bff was my dog, she was the best!

Story Time:  It's hard to tell a single story because every time we are together we are cracking up. But I guess my favorite thing about her, is that we went to college together and spent every single moment together, and when we went our seperate ways, we still never miss a beat (even though we only see each other twice a year or so) -- my favorite story is when we got SERIOUSLY lost on our way to a horse show (we were president and vice president of our equestrian team) and we ended up at a diary called "Do-Du Dairy". We had been in a car for 8+ hours and clearly, we lost our mind.We died laughing. To this day, we always say, lost people end up at "Doo-Doo" dairy.

My hobby btw is history.  I'll also talk your ear off about politics. I do like the anime One Piece and Narima Daikon Brothers. I also like travel but never go anywhere so I virtually travel on YouTube. 

STORY: I am a very reserved person in a lot of ways. I dislike nightclubs as I always feel awkward. Most who know me know this. So this story starts at an end: an afterparty once I finished training on a job. We had all grown close in the class and decided to go out on a Friday to let off some steam. We went to a club that used to be open called Park Elevator.

Once there, we went to the lower level as none of us were liking the music on the main floor and the lower level was more 70's/Disco/80's. The dance floor was a small square with cages at the four ends. We were all having fun when I was convinced to dance in one of the cages. Since I don't drink and am very inhibited, it took a lot of convincing but I did a tiny dance in the cage. Nothing risque, just a little dance for about 5 minutes (think Molly Ringwald in Breakfast Club). I still remember the song, "Neutron Dance" by The Pointer Sisters.

After we all went out to Denny's to eat. I was the DD though none of us were even tipsy as we all had to work the next day. Thanks to me having the guts to dance in the cage, they treated me to dinner. 

All in all, it was a great night and a fun time out with friends.

Story:
This is a dumb alcohol fueled story lol. One of my all-time favorite weekends was last year's Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I go every year with the same group of pals as an annual reunion kind of thing. Last year, as we were walking around between Bourbon and Frenchman, I lost a pair of designer sunglasses (they were Krewe glasses...ugh) somewhere along the way. My best friend and I then made it a sport of running around asking random people to help me find my glasses, and we ended up with a whole crowd running around trying to find these silly shades at like 3AM. At the end of the day we did not end up finding the glasses (RIP...) but we made a bunch of new pals along the way.

Story of Friends:

My best friend is Donnie. I met him YEARS ago and we've been friends ever since. We love to go metal detecting and geocaching and have spent countless hours digging up crap from the dirt. One time we were metal detecting a piece of land that had an old cabin on it. We ended up finding this old spoon with the engraving "The Colony" on it. This makes me smile because it's the only thing close to "treasure" that we've found.

3.) Running! I got into running when I was in college, now I still run 3 days a week, usually just 3-4miles. I change it up by running outside or inside or at different places. Sometimes I’ll shoot for certain times and see if I can get exactly that time. Keeps it interesting! 

4.) My story goes back to elementary school…my best friend was being picked on at school and the group of girls ended up pulling her pants down in front of some boys. My friend was so embarrassed and started to cry, so I went over and pushed the girl who did it so hard that she fell down and broke her wrist! I got in some serious trouble for it, but it was worth it! No one picks on my friends!

Tell us a story (hp appropriate) about your friend(s) and you that makes you smile:  I went for a hack with my bestie and her horse hates being at the back so he leads otherwise he turns into a bronco when we canter.  We went for our canter along the river and up the hill and the gate at the top is shut.  Usually I get off to get it as I (being smug here) have taught my pony to stand still, I get myself sat precariously on a gate and then lift the reins and my pony sidles up to me so I can hop back on.  This day my friend decided she would take a turn so off she gets, opens the gate for us and closes it.  She now tries to sit on the gate but keeps falling off and this before she tries to bring her horse alongside.  She gives up and we cross the road and up the track a little ways so we're on a hill.  She puts her horse below her on the hill, puts her foot in the stirrup aaaaaaaaaaaand her horse walks off so he's now stood uphill from her so she's now got her foot in the stirrup, hopping along beside horse as her leg is up near her head.  I'm sat on my pony laughing my head off (friend is short and horse is 14.3hh) so she finally gets foot out of stirrup and marches off to find a log.  She tends to leave the gates to me or her daughter.

Story: This one time we went through the drive thru of McDonnalds to grab some food and on our way back to the house we both ended up burping at the same time from the cokes we both got. Like the same length and sound, it was perfect. Haha. Weird I know, but we both busted out laughing and have not been able to achieve that skill since!
We're coming up on year 14 of being best of friends and there's just soo many great stories/memories! That was just the first thing that popped into my head, haha!

Hobbies: I like to chill and watch shows on netflix/hulu; my secret love is for cooking reality shows. I enjoy cooking, and reading. And my biggest passion is my kiddo!

Friends: My first real friend on HP was Audacity. She picked up a total noob to breed zombie paints with, and helped teach me the ropes. I laugh now, thinking about how I felt like I knew what I was doing. Poor Audacity had to take a hiatus after a few months because I must have worn her out with my constant needy-ness. ;)
