September 30th, 2020 is International Podcast day!

I used to dislike all things audiobook and podcast, but with my life changing so much over the course of the last five years - I've come to have a much bigger appreciation for both. Podcast, especially. You can read more about it here

1. For 1,000 points - Do you like podcast? Yes or no. Feel free to elaborate.

2. For 5,000 points - tell us about your favorite podcast. I am constantly searching for new podcast and I greatly appreciate (and check out) any and all recommendations.

Reply to this thread with your responses.

Include the number of the animal you want your points rewarded to.

Open until October 1st, 2020. 11:59 PM.

1. I LOVE THEM.

2. Cow horse Full Contact. A MUST LISTEN TO. Some of the top guys in the NRCHA host it and interview a ton of different people in cowhorse work and cutting etc. fantastic all around. Lots of funny stories and humor. How they grew up, got started in the business, the good and the bad.

1. The same as you, I was hesistant. But now I've started listening to them during workouts because I'm so bored with my music.

2. I love all things creepy and interesting. I've started listening to "Those Conspiracy Guys" on Spotify. Also a big fan of Joe Rogan's podcasts :)

1. For 1,000 points - Do you like podcast? Yes! I love podcasts and listen to them pretty much every day while I'm working or in the car.

2. For 5,000 points - My favorite podcast is Canadian True Crime. I also love Crime Junkies, 48 hours, I Survived, Serial Killers, Supernatural with Ashley Flowers, Park Predators, and Crime Beat. Can you tell I really love true crime? Lol

1. If I give them another go I'll probably like them.
The last time I had listened to some podcasts was for my Global Ethics class in college and yeah meh. xD

2. If I had a favorite, I'd probably choose something Equine or Crime-drama related if those exist? D:
I need recommendations and where to go to listen, haha!

1. I am not really a fan of podcasts, just because a lot that I've heard just aren't done right or to my tastes. Plus I rather read :p

2. However, as a linguist, I do really enjoy "en clair: forensic linguistics, literary detection, language mysteries, and more" by Dr. Claire Hardaker. You can check out the website here: http://wp.lancs.ac.uk/enclair/about/#cases

An excerpt from her FAQ about content covered in case you don't want to click just yet:

plan on producing episodes on everything from ladies of the night to Queens of England, from JK Rowling to Mark Zuckerberg, from secret military communications to serial killers, Hollywood plagiarists, online trolls, German ministers, US presidents, Twitter terrorists, beauty queens, interrogation strategies, ancient codes, undeciphered languages, corporate contracts, fake news, ghostwriters – heck, even zombies make an appearance. And there’s far more besides.

I'm not much of a fan of them. I struggle to listen and focus - I find it easier to read things and stay focused on it.

I have listened to a couple from Hair of the Dog though and found them interesting (photography related).

1. Podcasts really depend. It's only recently that I've started listening to them. I like them because unlike tv, I don't have to watch anything, so it's easy to listen and train on HP....

2. My favorite is the One Shot podcast. It's all fantasy-based, they do a lot of DnD-type campaigns over a podcast. It's weird to explain, you'd have to give it a shot (pun intended).

I like podcasts! My current favorite is Dissect, which takes songs and layer bylayer discusses the sounds, rhythm, and meaning of it all. Truly fascinating!

Yes! I'm really into My Favorite Murder as of late...it's getting me through the long days at work with no kids in the library. I also enjoy Serial Killers.

1. I'm not a huge fan of podcasts, I'd rather listen to audio books
2. I do have a favorite podcast, however! I looooove Queery with Cameron Esposito. I also used to listen to Welcome to Nightvale religiously, too

1. I am neutral, only because I don't really listen to them unless I am road tripping by myself up to my mom's house.  Like Jax, I am more inclined to listen to an audio book than a podcast though if I'm in the car for a long period of time.

2. My favorite podcast that I listened to on the way to my mom's was Dr. Death.  It took me a little while to get into it, but once I was, I was hooked.

My coworker always listens to Whine Down with Jana Kramer and Michael Caussin - she raves about it.  It's been on my list to listen to for months, but haven't listened to a minute.

1. Sometimes. I used to enjoy them a bit, but over time I've dropped out from listening to podcasts. I prefer audio books or listening to music more.

2. Welcome to Nightvale was a favourite of mine. It's fun and mysterious, with all sorts of random shinanigans that happen. A real fun ride xD

I'm not really sure what would classify as podcasts. But I like listening/watching Ted talks. However, I don't listen to them much because I have trouble just sitting and listening to people talk or even sitting and just watching tv. My hands have to be busy doing something at all times. Otherwise, I'm falling asleep.

1. I'm actually not really a fan of podcasts. They are like talk TV and I'm not a fan of listening to people talk (I work on the phone and people talk at me all day xD) so that may be why.. now add a picture to it (like tv) and I'm a fan hahah

2. However, I do often get stuck listening to my husbands podcasts.. and he has a lot. Mostly about sports and politics.
