I might be back!

This shelter-in-place and the California wildfires have taken their toll on my life and so now I'm in this limbo state with a lot of free time. I've been so bored and decided to come poking around HP again. It's changed so much! At least I'm back in time for all the holiday festivities.

So tell me, how does everyone make money on here now? The most lucrative sources of income I remember were graphics, private shows, and selling tickets. Does that still stand or have things changed around? 

Also, I've completely forgot how to organize lines. How do you add in to your main line? Do you just buy a store animal to breed everytime you breed your main line? Or do you start several lines? 

I also can't remember if people care about retiring their animals on here? I think a lot of players have flashbacks of HL but I know it's not like that here. I just can't remember if there was a consensus that it's okay to do on HP. It won't reuin the integrity of your lines, etc.?

Money is kind of hard to earn right now, not a lot of things are selling. Honestly, the best way is to sell 6 month upgrades, those are hard to come by in the auctions right now. :P Otherwise, yes, tickets/shows is good for a little bit!

Um, for lines, you can do it either way. I usually start with 8 animals, since if I get even pairs each time, I end up with a full pedigree-d animal at the end, which looks pretty. But nothing wrong with just breeding to a store each time! 

Retiring animals seems weird on here. Like, they don't fully disappear, they still show up in the pedigree. But doing that seems to be frowned upon. Seems like if it happens, okay, but don't do it on purpose? idk, I think it dependso on the individual and what they deem acceptable.

I'm not sure how long you were gone for... but I'd say things are still the same! Money makers are layouts, graphics, selling tickets/shows, and of course selling upgrades. 

I am no help with sorting animals and lines because I am constantly changing my mind with them.. so I'd definitely refer to other players with more seasoned lines because I just buy store and then train until they hit retirement age then either breed them to keep the lines going or send them off to my retirement page because I'm a hoarder LOL 

I get most of my income from training for other players too.

Also along with making graphics and layouts, there's also making stylesheets for animal pages. And you can try posting premades for sale in the graphic auctions.

I hoard my guys on an retirement account as well. It also helps me keep track of what I've named all of my animals, so I can easily look there to see if I've already used whatever name or not. xD

Premades at auction could use some help, offering graphic services, selling upgrades, and training are pretty pouplar with gaining more funds quicker. Then there's of course participating in any Club run activities and our events that offer hpd prizes too! Every little bit helps. :)
