Understanding the Zangersheide

So... I've been trying to research into my horse; Herbie's past again to see if I can go beyond where I hit a dead-end the last time. Anywho, does anyone understand the Zangersheide registry and how it works? From what I can gather it's merely a registry but not an actual breed? Does anyone possibly know which is true?
I can't see to get much information from the registry itself because you have to join and when you join you have to pay right away and almost $100 isn't quite worth it when I've seen other people posting that they haven't been able to use the site much anyways when they have joined.

From what I could research it's a sportshorse warmblood grouping - so typically that's less of a breed and more of a registry.

It *might( be similar to CBHI horses, in that multiple breeds can partake in CBHI, but they have to be registered and tracked to do so?

@Mame - I did see that and that's where I was confused, so it is a real breed but the stud book also accepts other warmblood breeds and if accepted they're considered Zangersheides too?
