So apparently there is a way to share kindle books with friends and family. It's lending the book to them for 14 days I think. However, I've never done this and I am new to the lending ebook party. Has anyone ever done this? Is there a website that connects people looking for a certain book to borrow? Up until now I've solely used my kindle to borrow ebooks from the library but I have a couple I am interested in that are no where to be found and feel like buying is such a waste 😭

There are a lot of free books on Amazon. Plus, they have Kindle Unlimited which you can usually get for free for a month or two. I'm not sure on the lending part. I think someone has the book which has lending abilities. Authors have to allow lending for their books too. Not all of them have that option.

I've never done it, but I think Ice is right in that some books are lendable and some aren't. I've never tried past that though. I'm in a few book groups on facebook that have mentioned it, but I'm in Canada on CA Amazon, so I'm guessing lending to US Amazon isn't possible.

There's also other apps on your phone where you can read books. There's something called Overdrive, but I am not sure what that all involves. I know libraries go through it... but that's all I really know.

I hope you find something. There's a lot of free ones on Amazon for sure though. If you tell me what genre you're into, I can help you find some :D

What books is it you want to read, but don't want to buy Chime?

I know you are super close to me. My local library system uses CloudLibrary - so if you have a local library maybe you can sign up and borrow them? I use the library ebook system a lot!

I want to read book called "Follow Me" by Sara Shepard. I've checked my libraries and no one has it in print or ebook :( I just wasn't sure if there was a website out there for people seeking to be lent a book to connect with owners who have such books.

ex. I'm looking to read Book Name Here does anyone have this? and then a response would be "Sure I have it, what's your email?" lol

It doesn't look like this book is available for lending according to Amazon. Try this website and see if you can find a library with it FOLLOW ME by Sara Shepard · OverDrive: ebooks, audiobooks, and videos for libraries and schools
