HP WEIGHT WATCHERS

So this won't be an 'official' association, since they aren't being accepted anymore anyway.. but I was thinking I'd just set one up on a player page and run it through there.. Basically, I need to start working out again and get back in shape and I need motivation to do so.. so I figured, HP is such a great community with lots of awesome people, why not do it on there??
My general idea for now (we can build/change this as we go), but I was thinking we'd gather everyone up and do a google doc and track weekly workouts and whoever works out the most that month gets a prize, just to keep us motivated! And then we'll also share healty recipes, workout videos, etc. and just generally motivate each other to be less blob-like!! I know sitting around on HP all day is fun, but it's not good to sit around all day.. I've seriously considered getting a treadmill and propping my ipad up and going on hp while i run xD
I don't want to focus on 'losing weight', since I think that can have bad outcomes for people both psychologically and physically.. I think it's better to focus on being active and making healthy choices.. losing weight and looking HAWT will just be an awesome side effect mwahaha
So who's in? And feel free to post any ideas for the group! |

I can't afford a gym membership and it's still too cold to do much outside. But if anyone can suggest good (easy!!) workout ideas/videos that I can do at home, I'm game! |

There is a gym there, but all that means here is that he could buy a discounted pass. Plus I almost never have time to come here, anyway. By the time I pick Randy up at night it's 8pm and we haven't had dinner yet. We go home, eat, and go to bed. |

I'm in to! I have some easy workouts that I can share, I was doing them pretty regularly but I got out of the habit. This is a great motavation idea! |

I'm in! I've been using MFP (My Fitness Pal) since Jan 3, 2014 and have lost 19 pounds so far :3 My goals to lose 80 pounds, but once I reach that my goal is more on toning up and not what the scale says. Sooooo I'm interested if I can remember to copy things over to the doc. |

I would be interested in this! I've been eating much better recently, but my exercise schedule is... questionable at best >_> So accountability yes please! As for ideas: I did one round of Tina Reale's Best Body Bootcamp last summer (sadly she doesn't run the program anymore), and one of the best aspects IMO was that all participants were asked to set two goals (drink 64oz of water everyday, go to bed by 9pm, etc.). You then had to record whether or not you met your goal every day, and if you exercised/did some kind of physical activity. Since like Uni said, it's more about getting yourself moving as opposed to just simple weight loss, the goal setting could be a good idea (especially since it's so individual)! |
