7 snowflakes!!! This was a lot of fun! I tried some new patterns and they came out really neat!! 😀

I thought about taking pictures as I made my 3D snowflakes earlier for anyone that didn't know how to make them and wanted to try it out. But I decided not to. But pink PM me asking how I made them, wanting to try. So here it is. (YES, I made a 4th big 3D snowflake just to make this tutorial).

1. First of all, you will need 6 pieces of paper, scissors, tape, stapler, some kind of string (yarn, string, ribbon, etc).

2. Next, fold in a diagonal along the long edge of each paper, making a triangle. Cut off the extra strip, so you have 6 square pieces of paper.

But keep folded in the triangle for step 3.

3. Cut along the dotted line shown in below image leaving about 1/2 inch in the middle of cuts from either side:

You DONT have to draw the lines like I did. I usually don't. I only did this time for the purpose of showing what I did in this tutorial.

********IMPORTANT********* DON'T CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH!

4. Now, you're going to unfold the triangles. They should each look like this:

Keep unfolded.

5. Starting with the smallest square in the center, curl the unattached corners together and secure with tape:

8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 with remaining triangles.

9. Place one of the tips of each snowflake piece together as shown:

Once you get the tip of all 6 pieces between you thumb and finger, staple. This can be tricky to get the stapler in there without getting you fingers or losing the pieces out of your fingers.

10. I usually go around the outside and sample the sides of each piece together. It helps the whole snowflake hold its shape a little better so it doesn't sag weird everywhere

11. Finally, just cut a hole in the top peak to thread your string through for easy hanging.

Disclaimer: I really suck at crafts. But I tried. :P It's 3D. And since all snowflakes are different, I guess they qualify!
