Life Can Be So Fucking Cruel

I've been following a channel on YouTube, called PawMeow. It's by a Bulgarian couple who rescue cats and kittens who are living on the streets and in dire need of help. The most recent kittens they rescued were brother and sister, who were only a few months old. The male had an eye infection and is blind; the female was helping him survive. In one of the videos, Amelia, as the female kitten was named, was showing symptoms of an illness, so she was taken to a vet and was diagnosed with panleukopenia. They tried to get a vet who would take her in for care, but because panleuk is contagious, none would. Today, it was announced Amelia had lost her battle. And now her brother, Charlie, has diarrea and vomited. So the couple have to take him to Sofia, the capital city 350km (217.48mi) to a vet to leave him for 24/7 observation. It's so unfair that Amelia had helped Charlie survive, only for her to succumb to an awful virus. An unfortunate thing about Bulgaria is that it's not a "rich" country, so regular people worry more about their own welfare and that of their families, than stray animals, so such animals are common and have a tough life. |

I've been to Bulgaria and it is not a rich country, although you can't tell that from the capital Sofia. I have never in my life seen so many dogs in huge packs like I saw in Sofia. I was actually pretty terrified at one point. I must of seen at least fifty dogs in one pack. Rosa is awesome, Rosa is fine, Rosa didn't write this... |

That’s pretty similar to Mexico City. Stray dogs are a HUGE thing there. A lot of people view them as pests. |
