I couldn't decide so I've cheated and put more than 1:

"I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list"

&

"Attract what you expect, reflect what you desire, become what you respect, mirror what you admire."

Without a doubt mine is "unless someone like you cares a whole aweful lot nothings going to get better; it's not."

"Life is like a photograph.  We develop from the negatives"

This is my favorite quote ♥

I love quotes, so I have a lot of favorites... xD

“There comes a time when the world gets quiet and the only thing left is your own heart. So you'd better learn the sound of it. Otherwise you'll never understand what it's saying.”
― Sarah Dessen

"Saying yes to happiness means learning to say no to things and people that stress you out"

Oh goodness.. Collecting quotes is kind-of a hobby of mine, so I have a few!

"Of course I believe that other worlds exist. If they didn't life wouldn't be interesting. It's like love: you can't see it but it exists- simply because you believe it. It's just a matter of believing." - Hayao Miyazaki

Here's my favorite 'carpe diem' reminder: "I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." - Jack London

And since we are on HorsePhenomena: "One man's wrong lead is another man's counter-canter." - Steven D. Price :D

Misa, I like that last one. Maybe next time I get the wrong lead I should tell my instructor I asked for a counter-canter XD

(actually I won't. My instructor's terrifying and would probably hit me with a riding crop)

I always liked "Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Although I've kind of modified it a bit for my own use: if you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, either deal with it, or get out.

Also, one from one of my friends: "Expect everyone to be an idiot, and you will never be disappointed."

A bit pessimistic, but surprisingly useful.

I know it's not necessarily a quote, but I love the Serenity Prayer, even though I'm not religious.

"God, give me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference."

And I also like this part from The Dance by Garth Brooks, because it reminds me of my first horse Dixie who I had to put down in October because she went crazy, and, in general, it reminds me that we can't predict how things will go so it's best to just experience them for what they are:

"And now, I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance. I could have missed the pain, but then I'd have had to miss the dance."

And, from another famous country song, I really like this one which I remind myself of whenever I start worrying about the future or life too much:

"I'm not here for a long time, I'm here for a good time. So bring on the sunshine, to - with the red wine, pour me some moonshine. When I'm gone, put it in stone, he left nothing behind. I'm not here for a long time. I'm here for a good time."
